Hi guys, I hope you can help with this queestion I have.

Let´s say I have a tank with a brand new stock coil and 2 e-liquidts I never tasted before.
I fill the tank with the first one; I taste it and the flavor is OK.
Not bad, not good... Just OK.

So I want to try the other one to see how it is but...
1. I dont want the first flavor affects the flavor of the new e-liquid
2. I dont want to throw away the coil after just two or three puffs.

What is the best thing I can do?
1. Rinse the coil and let it dry for a couple of days?
2. Rinse the coil and dry burn it?
3. Just dry burn it?
4. Just clean the tank and fill it with the new juice?

If I choose the option #4, after many puffs, is it possible to taste the original flavor of the second e-liquid or I will have a subtle, fine drawn hint of the first e-liquid that it will last until I vape the whole tank?

And no, I dont have a RDA and Im not planning to buy it anytime soon. I will get there eventually, but now, what is the best I can do?

Thanks in advance for your answers!

#4 for sure.

In almost all cases, the old flavor will blend with the new flavor for a few puffs, and then the coil will saturate with the new juice and you're in a new flavorville. I will sometimes do this to see if my new wick setup is wicking well...the tank is filled with one juice, but the wick is primed with another flavor. Depending on the fade from old to new, I know how well it's wicking.

In some cases, like strong menthol or cinnamon, the wick will take some time to release the old flavor. But there's really nothing you can do, other than keep vaping.

This is my experience with cotton wicks. Not sure, but other wicks might take more than a few puffs to clean out the old flavor.

#4 will generally work, some variation of 1 through 4 will give cleaner taste tests.

That said, some flavors, like menthol and others can be hard to clear, without explosives.

This is true but overall it has to do with what flavors you're dealing with... If the first is a strong overpowering flavor sour, tart, menthol, distinct flavors it will take longer to be replaced by the second flavor. If the second flavor is stronger then it will be easier.

Also if you're working with flavors with the same pallette, replacing a creamy flavor with a creamy flavor a fruity flavor with another fruity flavor, will give you a lot less carry over than if you're replacing a fruit with something creamy for instance.

Some like coffee(most) honey.. tobacco.. can stick around a while longer than others no matter what. After I vape my coffee juice for a while I just re wick before changing flavors.

Thanks man! I´m using stock coils like Kanger Dual Coils, Nautilus and Atlantis BVC, not the organic cotton ones. I think you are right, tho.. Maybe that is the best and easiest way to go... =)

I vape mostly coffee and tobacco, but Im trying new flavors aswell, so maybe I can spare a tank for those "soft" flavors....
