So, based on what i've read here on the forum, I'm under the impression pretty much all tanks will leak a little bit.

So how come nobody is just putting a little teflon tape around the threads, at least on the bottom threads of the tank? It wouldn't burn, but does juice affect it somehow? has anybody tried this?

If not, i might throw a piece of teflon tape in a puddle of juice and see if it breaks it down at all. I doubt it though, teflon doesn't really react with anything... I just think there must be a reason nobody uses it. We can't all be that dumb to have just never thought of it.

Teflon tape won't visibly break down from exposure to juice. I can't say exactly what the pitfalls would be, though I have seen at least one person use it to insulate their wick in a genesis setup. By no means is that an endorsement or a statement of fit purpose, I really don't have enough relevant info to make such a statement with any certainty.

My question is what purpose would this serve? You're referring to the connector threads, right? I would think the tape would hinder air flow since the air intake is from the connector end, covering those air holes will keep any juice from leaking out of them, but will also keep any air from going in :2c:
I can't say I've ever had a tank that leaked enough to speak of. I've had dud cartos that were prone to flood when put in a tank, or ones that I had punched excessively that flooded, but the tanks themselves I've never had troubles with in that regard. Even if you're referring to something like the eGo-T rather not carto tanks, the same points I make about air flow hold true. I used one of those for a few months when I first started vaping and never had a leak that I couldn't attribute to user error

I guess if you want good advice we need a little clarification on exactly what sort of tanks you're referring to and what sort of leaks you're trying to fix :)

I've done this a couple years back with certain set ups, it can help with some things, however you still have to take a needle/pin something and poke the two breather holes in the carto, therefore it can still leak,,,, if you don't do this you don't have a proper airflow or draw hooflababalah, but it can help on certain things at times, but I found it just doesn't do to much in the end.
