Hey everyone. I bought some new Nickel Temp Control and started vaping Castle Long... It was good for 2 days. Now all of the sudden it started saying "Temp Protection" all the time i use it. Even in the highest, middle or lowest temperature.

Anyone know what can be causing this? It's driving me nuts since i'm adoring this e juice and i want to keep vaping it.

You bought nickel temp control coils? You are getting a warning message. Something with the mod or atomizer has been jostled or loosened. Post a pic and we can help more.

Check these to start
1. 510 connection of mod.
2. 510 pin on atty contact
3. Coil mounting and posts if it's an RDA.
4. Your stock coil maybe clogged.

Could be a number of things.

I will get that error if my wick is too dry. Close the air flow holes and give it a short puff or two. If you have another tank with temp control wire try that to make sure you're not having an issue with your device. You can also take the coil out and prime it to see if it's indeed a wicking issue.

I primed the coil and it fixed the problem for a few puffs. Now i can't barely vape. Everytime i had to higher the temperature so i can vape but now even in 600F it get stuck with the Temp Protection... Anything i can do? I'm .......

Can i switch to w mode and vape between 20-40w? Or that has a risk of battery explotion?

You don't want to vape Ni wire in power mode.

If priming the coil worked for a few puffs then your problem is dry wick. Temp control is doing what it's designed to do, not burn the cotton. It won't fire if the wick is dry so you're cotton isn't wicking quick enough or at all. That could be because of a very high VG e-liquid or extremely dirty coil I guess. I would try a new coil and make sure to prime it well first.

Also close off the air holes and give it some puffs to get the e-liquid flowing if it starts getting dry.

Have you used the same e-liquid in that tank, I assume it's a Kanger Subtank with regular power mode OCC coils?

When i prime it, it only works for around 3-4 puffs. Tried closing the air holes and nothing. I had a 50/50 juice at first then changed to max VG juice and still same problem. Is a Kangertech Subtank NANO with those nickel wire. And yes i been vaping the same juice with regular coil in power mode and never had this problem.

If after the prime you get 3 or 4 puffs then you defiantly have a wicking issue. Not sure the Nano will wick well enough with max VG e-liquid. I would stay at 50/50 or maybe 70/20 at the most with the nano IMO.
I thought i wasn't gonna like 50/50 but i been vaping Castle Long and omg it's incredible. I changed the the coil and it's working but sometimes i get temp control i guess i gotta wait till it cool down depending on the temp i have it right?

I started out doing temp control on the evic VT and ran into temp protection a lot. Partially because the wick can only keep up with so much depending on juice thickness, but also because I couldn't set the power any lower than 30w so on the 0.5 Ti coil I was using it would hit real hard giving a good strong vape and then go to temp protection.

Increasing the max temp did help it go longer, but I just recently picked up an eleaf 60w TC and it allows the power to be adjusted down. I'm currently running a 0.51 Ti coil at 470F and 18w and it's producing a great vape and the reduction in power prevents it from hitting the limit.

This probably doesn't apply for everyone but I'm using an ego one mega tank not known for great wicking

When I hit the temp limit, the wattage drops to keep the temp at/near the set limit. The higher you have your wattage set, the faster that limit will be reached and the TC kicks in to throttle the power and maintain that temp - that is what temperature control is designed to do. If you're getting a temperature protection message, you very likely have a wicking issue and the lack of juice (which helps cool the coil) is allowing the temp to get too high even when the power is reduced, so your device kills the power to avoid a dry hit and the resulting burnt wick. I find that temps between 420* and 500* using 35-50 watts pretty much cover all my needs on various juices and devices.

Lol my istick 40 just went ....... I guess this thing is broken. It's turning itself off like it have no battery and the only way to turn it on is by plugging it in to charge...

The 60w TC requires batteries? Or it has it own ones? I want a device that has battery included.

The 60w uses an external 18650. I had that same issue you're having with the old istick 50w. I just quit using it because it wouldn't stay on or wouldn't fire. Got the 60w for $29.95 and so far it's been perfect, but for that price as long as it doesn't blow up like a pipe bomb I'll be satisfied.

How much were the batteries?

Definitely not the coil. I threw away the last coil thinking it was the coil. Now having same problem with a new coil from 2 days ago. My device is broken for sure, it reads it warm. Right now it says when i vape it 400F and im trying on 550F and it goes in Temp Protection. Been cold for like 30min.

I've seen deals on good batteries Samsung/LG/Sony for 6.99 - 9.99. They last quite a while, so it's really good value for money.
