Wow, I got an email from CASAA today and this bill makes me feel hopeful. The two main points are:

If enacted, this bill would:

  • Clarify that the use of "vapor products" (e-cigarettes) is NOT banned under Tennessee's Clean Indoor Air Act
  • Clarify that e-cigarettes are NOT "tobacco products" under Tennessee law, nor are they to be taxed as such.

I just wonder if this would help with the insurance issue some face with nicotine testing. I do not get tested for nicotine, but I have always wondered what happens if you chew nicotine gum, or use the patch or one of the other "approved" NRT's.

I am sending off an email to share my experience.
