Is the oddity at DV the same as the Cody at hoosiervapes? I am considering getting another fiber wick rba as these vivis are performing so good. I really don't see myself ever going back to genesis now that I have discovered the world of natural fiber wicks.
It is the same, you would be wise to choose a Terminator instead though, IMO

Agreed, right now the Cody (HV)/Oddity (DV) are lacking quite a bit. Tobeco, the manufacturer, has seen their errors and making adjustments/improvements but unseen to this point. All we have is 1 image of the top portion. As dwcraig stated it would be more worthy, unless you want to tinker and be frustrated at times, go with the Term that seems to be price locked.

Cheers,

Keep in mind it's not perfect; The Term has most all the problems that the orignal Odysseus had. It is very well machined. I prefer the satin finish over the high gloss of the Ody.

Are there any "Odysseus problems" specific threads? A searched a bit yesterday and about all I found was the gargantuan Odysseus Official Thread. I tried reading through that, but it was just too much even after skipping the first 120 pages of pre-order chatter lol

The typical issues have already been mentioned/addressed in the Terminator and Terminator-C for the most part.

Most have already done the "legwork" and brought the useful information/experiences to the aforementioned threads. This thread has also contributed to this subject as well of course :)

Yeah, I'm subscribed to both of those threads too lol. I just thought there might be some issues Terminator users aren't experiencing/talking about yet so I was thinking about going to the source. Guess it's back to the novel that is the Official Ody thread :)

Dont skim/skip through the threads, search within the thread with keywords... not trying to be a smart ...... just didn't know if you knew you could...

Haha; well I've seen you around enough to know you are, in fact, a smart@ss... but in a good way :) I pretty much only use the search within thread feature if I'm trying to find a post back or something, because otherwise it's way too easy to miss something potentially good just because of somebody's typo or picking the wrong words etc.

Have not tried using the tiny o-ring instead of the supplied grommet, but I suspect on the Tobeco version, the post is too short...

I am really scratchin my head here. The grommet sealed the positive post hole so I just have a tiny oring below the nut which I used to adjust for how far the positive post sticks out of the 510 connector. The ceramic is tight to the base so the grommet is doing the sealing from the other side. My wire is just wrapped tight around the post with a couple of turns.

After watching Junky, I realized that I may have did the build wrong. But I may have accidentally fix the problem that other people have had with the positive post connection to the battery. Go figure....
