Thanks guys. Sadly, I live in the middle of nowhere so I thought harbor freight was an online only retailer or wholesaler until I got into RBAs, lol. I might have a poke around to see if I still have a little torch lighter or maybe will see if local gas stations have some. If not, do you think a regular lighter would get the job done for the wick and/or do you think the butane torch on its lowest setting would be too much for it?
Get the kind for lighting fire places, candles, ect, kind of look like a little rifle. just make sure it is the hot type(torch)

v2 ceramic must be used with v2 ceramic housing, it will not work with v1 housing

Yes, I realize this. That's why I'm trying to find one. Probably have better luck finding an Easter Egg in my back yard...lol. I think Imeo is going to make more in a few months.

Hello, butane lighter will be fine. Most butane cig lighters have a blue flame and thats perfect. Be careful though, not all silica tolerates the same temps and some will scorch easily and some can be heated to the orange glow and not even show signs of a scorch. Try a small area first. If it does start to turn black then you need to back off a bit and just lightly heat it. Oh be sure to be careful, some silica heats up real hot and can burn your fingers.

I just realized I've mispoken; the torch I have is a propane torch. I can turn it down really low, and like I was saying earlier I've occasionally used that low flame to torch resistance wire, holding it really close to where the flame emerges from the torch. Does this change anything?

I have not seen one yet, I have one arriving in the mail today but I think that will work, it will just be kind of long Terminator with clear tank_Terminator-C.jpg
My answer is based on this photo:

So my Terminator-C did in fact come today! I've just been playing around with it a bit, getting familiar with the parts for now. It seems there might be some residues left on various threads and things. Will rinsing it off with water do the trick?

Boil it with dawn and water, then rinse and boil it w just water.

80% of the silica produced globally is not safe for our use. If you have silica that burns or cant even take a lighter flame do not use it. Quality silica should easily take a full torch with no effect.

Too late, haha. I soaked and scrubbed them with hot water and dawn, and then rinsed with hot water. Hopefully that'll be alright.

I got my silica from Stormy's when I ordered the Terminator. I torched it, and it glowed nicely. At least as far as I can tell; never torched silica before since I've never done a silica RBA.

How does it look with the clear tank not in the assembly? does the mouth piece extend way out in that configuration?
-CF

Ya know, I almost took some pictures when I first got it, but then I got distracted with cleaning everything and putting my first coil in. Sorry about that. I did look at that configuration myself, however, and the mouthpiece did stick out a ways. I think probably more than I'd like, but if you're a person who likes long drip tips it might be acceptable. I'll try to remember to take some pics of it in that configuration the next time I break it down a bit or when the juice gets low enough.

The longer (original) mouth pieces have a stopper built in so it cant thread right off the RBA part. So it would not work w a shorter tank cuz the stopper would not fit in the tank.

There's no ledge on this mouthpiece like there is on the original ones. It gets narrower part of the way down, but there is no ledge. Yet another thing I should've taken a picture of had I not been...preoccupied :)

Be careful not to unthread it right off the RBA part...
