I am back, drinking luke-warm coffee - meh.

I can't complain (although I'd like to). Many others have it far worse. The storm had nothing to do with my little outage - just one of the perks of living here in this rural (ahem) area.

But all is well now - and I'll be glad for the AC later in the day as we're back to being hot down here!

I know it can get pretty hot in South Carolina and I'd be tremendously upset if I knew you were uncomfortable. We just can't be having that!

Glad you were able to get the coffee made before the outage Pokey....Hope it comes back on for you before too awfully long.
Haven't seen what it is doing along the east coast yet today. Do pray it ends up not being real severe for all.

See that some are into football already. Does not seem like summer should be over. Where does the time go anywhooo.....

May meet our OK kids for dinner at the casino if I can get to breathing today. Have a great day everyone no matter what you do.....

Good Morning All what a night! if the hurricane was'nt enough they threw in 3 tornados. everything is fine here at the homestead, just a couple of fences to mend. on the upside, never lost power. coffee is good this morning.

Wow, that is great Cousin K-Space!!! It sure was looking like Delaware was going to get hammered! And with all the people their reporting that have no electricity I sure figured Delaware would get that too. Really glad to hear its all going fairly well for you. Are the winds dying down yet?

winds are about 10-15mph now with a light rain. just saw on the news a few folks trying to surf down at the beach. i think i'll stick to surfing ecf for awhile

OK guys and gals remember now no food or drink for TT tomorrow morning Even if he is not usually hungry in the mornings he will wake up starving tomorrow just because he can't eat or drink if he is anything like me

I knew that many people would have a tornado or 2 flying around out there With Hugo we got hit by one before Hugo ever even hit us I am glad that Irene is now a tropical storm and hope that we can make it through September without any more storms!

I will be trying a Nedi Pot (sp) today for the first time ever. Good thing Nursie T just told me not to use tap water in them because a guy just died from an amoeba being in the tap water that he used for his pot I am so glad that she mentioned it because that is exactly what I was going to use! I think I will use the distilled water that I have for my Cpap now Everyone have a great Sunday.

Oh and TT try chopping up some apple, raisins and almond slivers in that oatmeal to make a muesili. It is really good with a little brown sugar sprinkled on top

Afraid me being a nightowl has about come to a close so I'll probably be "hoo'ing" outta here soon. Promise I'll try to get back more frequently again. Kids are back in school, appliances seem to be on the mend now (knock on wood, cross fingers, eyes and toes and grab the rabbit's foot) and routine is beginning to set in again...hopefully.

Now dang it Free! I try so hard to stay awake and wait on you but 2:30 AM is just out of the question for me under normal circumstances. I mean couldn't you make it here by midnight? lol

Done reading all the catch up posts. Dang---you people are entertaining, I just wanted to go on reading, but now all caught up.

Been doing some cleaning today. It is never ending even with just one old messy husband and one old messy cat. Later on this afternoon, we are taking a trip to Bass Pro Shop...fishing trip coming up week after next so hubs has to shop. He is a totally different guy in there than when he is shopping at Kohl's with me. "Get what you need and get out"....that is what I hear at Kohl's. But not at Bass Pro......then it is poke around and look everything in the store. And what does he need? Absolutely Nothin'. But that doesn't stop him from looking and buying more ringrangdoos.

Toto--hope you made it to the casino and have some good luck and fun dinner with the kids.

Looks like Irene is about ready to run her course, and with all the damage and flooding, I am sure glad she was not more powerful. Good luck to our eastern friends...hope their damage was minimal and power back soon if they got hit.

Good luck tomorrow TT, we will all be here thinking about you. And remember......pictures or it never happened. haha. What do you think they will find when they go inside YOU and take pictures? Anybody here want to take any wild guesses?

Right now the Saints are playing Oakland. Should be a good game even if it is preseason. Both teams are looking pretty good!
