I don't know. They couldn't find anything wrong. I had a pain in my upper stomach area that went through my back. It got so bad I had to go to the ER. They gave me a shot of dilaudid and it got managable but I never had anything hurt that bad. All good now.
Good to hear from you Sdh - very sorry to hear of DH's issues.
It is unfortunate that the earlier MD dismissed his earlier complaints of CP as reflux....
I will keep both of you in my thoughts tomorrow. Were his enzymes elevated or did they say?
It is possible that they will find something simple to fix - but it is standard procedure to sign for the stent, the angioplasty, and possible CABG. Hopefully, it will not come to that.
I am glad your Buzz batts held up for you throughout today's ordeal - that would have been one thing too many, I am sure, under the circumstances.

I won't patronize you by pretending I know you well, Sdh, although I've seen your avi & posts here and there. Be that as it may, whatever psychical energy I have is yours.
I went to the head doctor the other day. She kept saying that there wasn't anything wrong with me. I told her about T, SC and PI. Next thing I know, I'm pinned down and they are shocking my head with electricity. They kept making me repeat, "They aren't real..."! I'm not sure what they were trying to accomplish because I feel the same. I just can't stop drooling!
5C, make them do an ultrasound of your gall bladder if they did not already. Trust me on this.

Pokey they did not tell me his enzymes. I do now they performed a simple chest x-ray and did a Echo test in his room. Hubs started last year trying to figure out what is wrong. He has been having terrible sweating episodes and CP and borderline hypertensive as well. All he was told was he could have acid reflex. No testing was done to confirm that diagnosis. I am having a really hard time trusting doctors...this sends me over the edge.

I am right there with you Sd. Most docs don't even try to diagnose your problems nowadays. If you are not able ro diagnose yourself you are in big trouble in many cases.
I can certainly understand your lack of trust - particularly as they did not follow through with testing of any sort to confirm or rule out one diagnosis or the other.
But it is probably better to focus your energy and faith on the here and now - what is done, is done...and as poorly handled as it sounds like it was managed cannot be undone. It is most unfortunate and I am truly sorry for I have seen it more times than I care to remember.
They will do the cath; they will find if there is a blockage; they will fix it. Hopefully with the least intervention as possible. Then the focus can shift to preventative and/or further diagnostics to help keep him as healthy - or even healthier - than he was prior to all this misfortune.
True, Pokey. And, it still could be gastric unless he showed positive cardiac markers.
Very true! They checked me every 4 to 6 hours for almost 18 hours.... looking for enzymes that appear... hopefully they don't find them.... a good sign.

Pokey you are so right! On a positive note we now know what the problems are. SO is like Sanford on Sanford and Son's. He was telling me jokes in front of the Rn's and cna's that had me rolling with laughter. TT would have been proud. He asked the nurse for a gigantic urinal. The look on her face was priceless.
Sdh, I'll be thinking about you guys tomorrow. I hope all goes well for him, and I also hope you can get some rest tonight.
Sd, we are always here if you need to take your mind off of things for a bit. It may be hard to think of anything else, but we may be good for a smile or a chuckle. Be strong.
LOL I just told her to try and relax and get some rest. She is probably going to need it tomorrow
It might be a 2 benedryl kind of night....Unless of course, Prince Valium comes to visit.
