I make mild black for my husband. 10% mild black 5% FW wild cherry. makes a pretty close cherry cigar flavor. I quite enjoy it every now and then myself. It's also fine on its own. I havent tried the other ones so I don't know. but I never got a perfumy vibe from it. When I first started mixing it I did it at 3% which is still pretty strong, but my hubby likes it much stronger.

I tried Western at 70/30 15% stand alone. I was looking for a new tobacco flavor. I let it steep for well over a week, I was very disappointed in that one. I agree, very perfumey. Also once I had it in my Reo for a very short time, the flavor stayed in my feed tube. I hate that. Since it stuck around after being cleaned out, I never used it again.

Hope this helps Rip Rap, my notes:
MIXED AS STANDALONE, 18mg 60/40, steeped 4 weeks+,rda, Rating 1-10

TFA Mild Black 5% mix
#12A-- Taste to tongue: Chocolate/good
Color: med. golden brown.
First impression: Nothing unique. Mild non descriptive. Dry tobacco taste with slight bitterness
--mild wood overtones. Not to be used as a standalone. May be something good to mix with.
Rating 6.0

TFA Western 7.5% mix
#12G-- Taste to tongue: Good Marlboro
Color: gold yellow.
Vape First impression: mild taste. Second and more puffs: Hangsen like Marl-bo-ro Flavor tobacco taste. Good tasting
but not really distinctive enough for me. This flavor is one to use as a base to be mixed with. Good tobacco mixer.
Rating: 6.5

Note steeping time of plus 4 weeks. No perfumey/nasty, just decent ok tobacco tastes. Would I buy them again? No. Lots more great flavors to taste which might be better.

Having been an occasional fan of Black and Milds when I was smoking I jumped at Mild Black when I first started diy not long after switching to vaping about a year ago. Since then I've used it in countless mixes and have yet to find one that doesn't end up tasting something like my gym socks smell after I've left them in my duffle bag a few days. And that was starting low. I can't imagine it at 10%..

Perfumy is sortof what I get from it. More musky really. The closest I came to getting it to really work for me was mixing it with a few different vanillas and a tiny bit of fruit, strawberry seemed to go best. Too much though and that gym sock flavor comes out much more.

Having heard plenty of people compare the smell of a freshly lit cigar or a just used cigar room to gym socks I guess I can get how it could resemble a cigar like flavor, but I just haven't been able to become a fan.

If anyone is thinking about getting Mild Black as a black and mild like flavor it really isn't.. too bad.

Yes, I have to agree that it is no where near like a real cigar flavor, but considering some of the other tobaccos I have tried from TFA mild black was the best. I personally do not like it at such a high percentage. But taste is subjective after all. TFA Cubano tastes like jalepenos to me. TFA black honey tobacco taste like cat pee, TFA Red Type tastes like a weird pine forest with a hint of mint and RY4 Type is okay I guess but very strange. I have been afraid to try an other tobacco flavors since.

TFA has one tobacco flavor i dont mind mixing into small batches with other nutty or caramelly flavors.. M-type is a little more subtle than the other tobaccos ive tried.

Doesnt have much of that perfumy flavor others seem to be plagued with and doesnt leave any lingering odors in the air.

I may just not be a tobacco flavor vaper.. In over a year ive found very few that i actually like and would choose to vape.
