TFV4 vs. TFV4 mini?

I was just wondering if you have to purchase the mini to use the new micro coils offered or will the original tank work? Any suggestions would be great...TIA

i have both tanks, as well as a micro - to the best of my knowledge, you would have to have one of the 'backup kits' to convert the mini to using the micro coils - and it uses a different size (height) glass to allow mini to 'fit' those coils - i don't think that would work for the full size tfv4, as it is larger diameter than mini (so the glass with the backup kit would not fit it)...

so, short answer, i think you would have to have the mini and the backup kit or a micro tfv4 to use micro coils
