E-Cig Forum Proprietor, Moderators, and members,

Kreep here - I just wanted to drop a line and say thank you. First and foremost, this a beautifully run, well moderated, logically organized, easy to use, and most importantly - USEFUL forum. The community here is amazing, and the forum posts, guides, FAQs, and member contributions have given me not only a confidence in making the switch from analog cigarettes, but knowledge that is actually applicable in making decisions about equipment, juice, and techniques. You all do a wonderful job, and I am eager to become an active member in this outstanding community.

A little bit about me:

I am currently 29 years old and quickly approaching my 30th birthday (this month :0). More importantly, I have two wonderful children - 2 boys, ages 6 years and 10 months. My 6 year old is becoming aware of my smoking habit and has begun to lobby against it. I have noticed the time I am missing with him while I am outside sucking back on the cancer sticks. I have tried to quit smoking on several occasions, but as many of you have iterated, I have the same affinity for the sensation of smoking which all but smashes any success experienced in quitting.

I have little to no experience with PVs, but I have been wrestling with the idea of trying them out as a method to at least reduce the self-inflicted damage of habitual smoking. After reading about some positive user experiences at another forum, I stumbled upon the e-cigarette forum through a series of links on other boards. I went out and purchased a VC-14 (appears to be a rebrand by vapcigs.com). After mixed use of analogs and the VC-14, I began to notice a preference for my PV, and I am happy to announce that at the end of my last pack (about 4 sticks), I will no longer be purchasing or using analog smokes. Also, After direction from this forum, I have received my first shipment of juice from www.vaporbomb.com, and as I sit here experiencing my first taste of Kahula juice that I refilled myself, I am even happier with the PV experience. Finally, I have ordered a Joye 510 kit from www.vaporkings.com, and it should be arriving shortly.

In conclusion, I just really felt compelled to share this experience and give my testament to what a great community you have here. I don't often take the time to register for community forums such as this; many such communities are abusive to their noobs and become more of cliques than growing, prospering communities of active users. But in the case of the e-cigarette-forum, I feel more honored to join than anything else.

Thanks again for all the information you guys share - I look forward to learning much more about this great hobby (not habit!) and contributing what I can, when I can.

Cheers!
Kreep.

I am so happy for you and wish you all the success in the world. You should be proud of yourself! It's great that your kids won't grow up around cigarettes. Unfortunately mine did, but better late than never I guess.

I'm waiting for my ego to arrive and I hope I have as much success as you are. I also agree 100% with everything you said about this forum.

Congrats!

Welcome to ECF and great first post Kreep! I'm sure you'll love your 510, I love mine.

Agreed. Fantastic first post. Just think that your post might help someone else new to vaping someday. That's one of the great things about ECF... very seldom have I seen any posts that weren't supportive. Welcome to vaping, and welcome to ECF. :)

Hi Kreep,
I agree about this forum. :2cool: I think that the reason that everyone on here is so helpful and friendly is because we are all here for the same basic reason. We are here for a better, healthier life. :) We are fighting a battle against something we started a long time ago. The hard part is we are fighting something we "like". It is something that while we are doing it we can see all kinds of reasons to quit, but as soon as we don't have it all we can see is what we like about it. All of the reasons for quitting seem to get blocked until we start again. I hope that makes some sense.:)

Welcome Kreep,
Glad you discovered ECF and that it is already benefiting you. Once you stop the cigs, your body will really start to thank you. No coughing, wheezing. You will taste and smell everything better. You - yourself will smell better too. You will just flat out start to feel better. There ain't nothing like it.:)
Good luck and check in here often.
