Great job Greg and thanks. Time to check that link to CASAA.
I'm sure some states will fight this tooth and nail. Cigarette smoking is a double benefit for states and the country. Where else can you tax the crap out of a product and have those same people who pay the taxes die early so you don't have to support them in their old age. Is it cheaper to provide medical coverage for those with cancer vs the lifetime of revenue we provide/provided? Would be interesting to see the stats on that one.
Amazing what joining the facebook page will provide. Ask and ye shall receive.
Get the word out and try to get everyone you know who uses e-cigs to sign up to CASAA. Strength in numbers and we can't ask just a few to take the lead. It would be nice if CASAA had a membership counter...uh maybe I better go look again.
Big Tobacco has no problem with us. If they did, the first states to take action action e-cigs would've been places like South Carolina and Virginia.
Our biggest opponents have been groups that receive millions of dollars in grants from pharmaceutical companies, such as the American Lung Association, American Cancer Society, and Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids.
