I am 39 years old and started smoking when I was 14. I was a 2 pack a day hard core smoker who's life revolved around having a cigarette. I have tried the patch, inhalers, gum, drugs, and hypnosis, none of which worked. I have never been able to go a full 24 hours without smoking and had given up any hopes of ever quitting. I got my kr808 about 2 1/2 months ago and since that time have been experimenting and trying to find my right mix.

Now for the shocker!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have not smoked an analog in 64 hours. I've had moments that I really wanted one and this is not by any means easy, but it's very do-able. For me it's more like not knowing what to do without my lifelong cigarette buddy. I have smoked my entire adult life and this is weird for me. I don't think I have ever been so proud of myself in my life as I am right now.

I just needed to share with the forum and say thank you to all the wonderful advice and stories that have helped me to get where I am right now, SMOKE FREE !!! :2cool:

Congrats! Keep at it and it should get easier. I'm 35 and started when I was 11. I've been cig-free since 1/1/11. I've been drinking a lot of water and started working out to rid my body of all the toxins. I find myself vaping 12mg nicotine all day, but at least I'm not smoking. =)

Congrats and hang in there. When I started vaping I thought I could use it as a way to cut back slowly on my smoking with the goal of eventually quitting. The shocker was that once i started vaping I didn't feel the urge to smoke anymore. So far none of my triggers for smoking have caused me to go buy a pack. Every other time I have tried to quit it just didn't work. I have a teenage daughter so I think vaping has withstood the critical tests LOL.

After a couple of weeks I couldn't stand the smell of smoke anymore so I think I have a good chance of finally beating the analogs. Good luck in your vaping journey :)

Congratulations and welcome to ECF,
I join you in feeling proud of what you are doing. I smoked for 40 years and quit on vape day 2. Still can hardly believe it. Keep doing what ur doing and don't let those momentary discouragements get to you. We all have that struggle. Keep vaping and please remember to drink plenty of water. Vaping WILL dehydrate you and it happened to me and it is NOT a good thing. I never hurt so bad all over. Every part of my body ached like crazy...all because I was badly dehydrated. So drink water throught the day.

Your body will thank you every day of your "smoke-free" life. Way to go..........
