I keep experimenting with oddball twists and parallels and hurricanes and OMGlungblasterkillercoils, but keep coming back to tight, neat, microcoils.

^^^ That. If you want nom nom - dare I say it - there is much to be said for a tidy micro, in a small chamber atty, with the right air flow.

Yeah thats whats worked best for me, haven't maxed out on my experimenting but... Straightening my wire pre torching it and getting it nice and tight is money.

^^^ This... I've done exactly the same thing... all sorts of nano coils, macro coils, twisted wires, "clapton" style wound wires, etc.... I've tried lots and lots of different coils... And each of them seem to have certain advantages and disadvantages... Each has it's own unique "value" in the sense of flavor, vapor production, density, etc...

And yet... when I'm done playing around and want to sit down with a really good enjoyable vape, rather it's in a kayfun, fogger, plume veil, atomic, etc... I always grab my 2mm mandrel and wrap a micro load it with cotton or rayon and vape away with a smile on my face...

I'm not saying there isn't a "better" coil out there... But at the end of the day, I think of it kinda like this....

You ever see the commercial for one of those "automatic" soap dispensers for your house? The commercial basically touts itself as being far superior and healthier than other "manual" soap dispensers because you "don't have to touch it" Basically it's saying, "Hey, if you have germs on your hand those germs are going to get on your old fashioned soap dispenser... Then the next time you go to wash your hands, those same germs are going to get back on your hands..." To which I through my "..." face say something along the lines of, "HEY LADY! IT DOESN'T MATTER WHEN YOU'RE GETTING READY TO WASH YOUR ...... HANDS ANYWAY!!!!"

It's a novelty... Plain and simple... It might be fun to play with, but it's just not nearly as practical as the basic old manual dispenser... Sometimes things are just "right" and it might be fun to search for something better, but it's very unlikely you'll find it...
