that little arrow

I love this feature of the site. It's the little arrow you can click on the thread listing that takes you to your last post in that thread. A friend of mine wants to install a feature like this on his motorcycle forum. I am wondering if someone can describe what this feature is called or something more than "magic arrow."

it is built in to the forum, it is part of the core code in vBulletin. Most other forum software packages have something similar available as an option or a plugin.
