Hey guys, first of all, I'd like to state I am IN NO WAY financially endorsed or compensated by the creator of this mod, I'd just like to share it with you all, as his medium of choice is Instagram. Jacob builds these beautiful parallel 18650 box mods. They feature copper wiring, press fit or magnetic doors, magnetic or spring loaded switches, and come in four finishes. They're rated at 95a @ 3.7v, and they're entirely wood! I will be covering mine extensively once it arrives, but he recently took the time to do an interview with me, which is featured on my website (link at the bottom.)

I can't wait!!! About time to see what these box mods are all about ! :toast: 10549812_312985025531229_921613356_a.jpg

I know looks are subjective and the price is fairly low for a handmade mod, but that last picture makes me cringe a little. Can a hundred bucks buy a brother some mitred joints at least? Maybe a little more radius to the edges? A stained door that matches the rest of the wood a little closer? I'm a 'form follows function' kinda guy, but that's pushing it even for me.

The first pic in this thread looks way better than this last one. The idea seems solid to me, simple, heavy duty button, long lasting battery layout, etc... but that woodworking and finishing could use a little more refining even at that price, IMO.

I really hope you love it when you get it, and it performs better than expected.

I kinda dig it. He referred to it as a series build (though it remains the ankh, just a deviation) so I'm not sure if it's cheaper, or made to spec for the guy he's doing it for. I agree though. I'll share lots of pictures and I am convinced it'll perform as well as I hope. His instagram videos and other happy users show some serious clouds and amazing performance.
