Just looking around ECF, I'd assumed Dicodes inherited the mantle. But then, I'm not a mod junkie, and don't own either, so....

And looking around reddit it would be a Drag/Legend/Topside.

On facebook, depends on who owns the group.

Depends on where you ask and more importantly, who the members are.

I like those words, Faded. What have you gotten lately that would make it on a "best" list? Guessing Dani Mini is among them?

Thanks Brew! Lately it's just been mech tubes, printed mods, or hybrid/stab boxes; things of those sorts. Mechanicals. I've looked into the Dani Mini, it's a possibility. I like the compactness and durability of it. Almost like if ProVape was still around, they made something new that's up to date, it would probably be something like the Dani Mini. The chip in it is superb.

I can't argue with that. It was the gold standard for measuring against other mods. I have three of them stored away. I don't use them any more because I now sub-ohm which require more power.

It seems a lot of former Provari owners are now using a JAC Vapour or Dani. Lost Vapes mods get a lot of love for being high quality, but I'm not sure how much physical abuse they can tolerate.

After vaping for 10 years I can say that mods last 2 years on average. High end mods sometimes aren't worth the price, and in the long run you'll most probably get tired and get your next fetish. I try to buy the most reliable of middle of the road mods, and many go the distance. True, I don't do TC, so I try to keep some high end. But I never devoted my money to high end only.

Oh, well - no help for me. I don't do mechs. But I have thought of getting a decent one to throw in a vapocolypse box, though.:)

Best mod ever is very subjective. But I own several of the original Geekvape Aegis mods and I do love them.
Best (*insert any word here*) is very subjective. But it does always elicit discussion, criticism and arguments- and keeps this forum going, doesn't it? ;)

The best built mod that I own is the Aspire NX75A. The "A" version is made better than most mods, including most DNA mods. It is machined from a block of aluminum similar to how an atomizer deck is manufactured. That type of construction is usually only on high end mods. The NX75A is the only inexpensive mod that I've seen with this construction. Most mods are cast from zinc alloy because it is much cheaper to manufacture.

Comparison of "A" and "Z" versions of the NX75:
NX75-A CNC machined from solid aluminum, anodized, USB-C, free silicone protective case
NX75-Z Zinc alloy, painted, micro-USB

This video shows how it is manufactured from a solid block of aluminum:

In addition to the superior construction, anodized aluminum has a rockwell hardness of around 60 so it is much more durable than paint.

The "A" version also has USB-C which is less likely to break than micro USB.

Yes, I've wanted this one, but where can you find the A version (unpainted), Smoked?

I got mine on clearance during the holiday but the store is sold out. The sale was insane. I don't currently see any crazy deals. Aspire still has the anodized aluminum in a grey, blue and red. Aspire NX75-A 75w Mod (Aluminium Alloy) - $50.00 : Aspire online shopping

If you get one, I'd recommend flashing the firmware to the latest version. The latest version is really nice.
