Best mod period?
The obvious answer is Dot mod.

And I think the Legand must be a clone.

Seriously, it's like saying the best house period. Or best car period. Or best woman period. Okay, scratch that last one, it doesn't sound right.

Okay, I'm done.
You are correct, that last one just doesnt sound right. :D

Mods last longer if you rotate them. Using one mod day in and day out isn't my style. I like to share the load among several. I own an Aegis 200W and it's a solid mod, but only for around the house. Jac Vapor DNA 75W might be the pinnacle of mod design if the fire button had a little more tension in the spring. My Hcigar DNA 75 is a great mod. I even use my old Provari V2 here and there. I haven't counted in a while, but I tend to buy the latest and greatest and share the load by switching in and out.

Rotate them and take care not to drop them and most all will last a while. I have a few mods that I bought on sale that haven't been out of the box except to make sure they work.

I dropped my smoant BS mini and Pico's on teh concrete a few times each. They still work.
What surprises me is that the glass tanks didnt break.

Ditto on the Picos for durability. I've dropped my green resin Pico at least a half-dozen times on concrete, tile, blacktop and they still perform. My Crown Mini tanks that I use on the Picos have yet to break completely. They've been dented and scratched up a bit, won't work in TC anymore (something holding the pin broke), but the glass is still intact and they still work in wattage mode. One time, I had my Resin Pico in my hand while flinging my hockey blanket over a bathroom stall.. Forgot it was in my hand... It hit the floor like a ton of bricks... Still works.

Not the best mods, but these babies keep right on working! Maybe I didn't need the dozen or so backups, then?

Now, now, it works for the OP. And if the drop on concrete count is the measure of the best, the Legend is tough to beat. Even driving over it is tough to beat. Think of all those times you get frustrated with your mod and slam it into the ground. With the Legend you can always calm down and make up later.

But the Legend is waterproof. We're not talking about a Voopoo here.

I've got the GeekVape Aegis, Aegis Legend, original VOOPOO DRAG, lots of DNA Mods, lots of other Mods. My Aegis Mods are like the old Timex watches... "they take a lickin and keep on trucking". The vintage Sig boxes (100 & 150) were good durable VW Mods but weren't waterproof. I use my Aegis Mods when I may run a chance of subjecting it to adverse conditions. Of all of the various Mods I've owned over the last four years (somewhere around 100) I have to say that the most durable (aside from another single 18650 waterproof Mod I can't remember the name of) are the Aegis Mods.

However, I'm at the point now that I build my own Mods with DNA 250 boards.

Mods last longer if you rotate them.

I disagree. Well depending on how you look at it. In terms of linear time yes that would be true but total run time will not be affected in the case of mods. What I mean is if you had a mod and used it all day every day and it lasted a year, if you had only used it all day every third day it would have lasted three years. Thus linearly it lasted 3 years, but in either case it only worked for 365 days of actual use. So regardless if you rotate three mods or use them exclusively till they die in sequential order you will get the same total run time.

This might not be the case for something that runs 24x7 and never gets any break at all, such as say a ceiling fan. With no breaks to cool down the constant heat could cause it to wear out faster. With mods though they get frequent breaks anyway. Short breaks between puffs, longer breaks between vape sessions, and a really long break at night while you sleep. I do see how it would be easy to feel you got more time, I just highly doubt that is going to be the reality.
