Here's a weird one for you. I have suffered from allergies all my life and when I took up vaping things improved substantially but every so often I have a full blown allergy attack and it happened again Friday. We think I am allergic to Chinese vape mail packing tape. Everywhere I touched it ripping open the packages I came up in a red rash. Hubby laughed and said that's it no more packages, I laughed and put on disposable gloves, :)

Those gloves should work for you Krima. I hope they do. I wonder what they're using to make that tape.

I used to have BAAAD acid reflux a year or so ago. It was so bad that when I was asleep, stomach acid would shoot up into my mouth. Real scary! I was afraid I was going to asperate it and drown in my sleep! I found it was due to my love of beer. (Sad face)

I do agree that raising the head of the bed helps tremendously! I just put a square of 2x4 under both feet at the head board and it solved quite a lot of my bed time acid reflux problems! That along with some Prilosec or Pepcid AC and it all but disappeared.

I love my small batch craft beer to much to give that up!

I remember my acid reflux days. I used to get so sick of it I would sleep sitting uo on the end of my bed. I'm glad that's over. I'm also glad you got yours figured out.

Well 2 years ago today, I smoked my last cigar, so what do you call that? Vapeaversery. I was hoping to get the flipper for a reward for the celebration, but maybe it will come up next weekend. It sure has been quite the journey, I started with a swisher sweets cigalike, then I found the Ego T at the Indy Vapor shop, after that I got the joytech E-vic, then Provari. Last year in July, I got my first BB and started DIY, I thought I would never do the DIY thing, now it is all I vape. I just hope this new law, that they are proposing here in Indiana does not pass, it will label me a criminal because I DIY, I wonder what vaping will be like here in one year from today?

Congrats on the Bridge, cat. I'd love to hear another opinion of the differences between it and the original.

I honestly can't tell...yet. I was out of caramel reef for awhile and just so happy to get more and put it in the tank. It tastes amazingly delicious! I'll do an experiment using both bridges in both tanks with both my bboxs at the same time and then letcha know DP.:)

Idunno, Kat; at the rate this thing's taking off you might be able to work-out some co-op pricing for da shirts.

:banana::lol:

I'm going to have one made up for me for reals!:D

sorry for the rant last night everyone, it was one of those days, vaping is definitely a personal thing when it come to your style, i believe that stems from the fact that people smoked cigs in many different ways everything from the number a day to how much you actually inhaled vs burned, how deeply you inhaled ect. I was never a smoker (just smelled like one a lot ) until i was in the military, there as a smoker i learned to do it fast and inhale deep in case you get cut short for one of a million things, like walking for instance. I typically finished a cig (to the filter) in three to five fast paced drags, which is why i believe i find big vapor so pleasing. anyone else have any thoughts on this theory?

You are "spot on" here, AB. Having worked in a vape shop for years, I can tell you I watch how people vape all the time:laugh:. I SEE the mouth to lung vapers, the straight to lung vapers, etc. I can tell if someone would prefer the sub ohm set up...or not. It's very fun watching people all having their own style of "inhale". It really does tell me what options to offer them for their purchase. I want their vaping experience to put a sparkle in their eyes. I LOVE watching that happen.:)

And of course by properly I mean MY WAY :D

MY WAY is the ONLY way. I love being single.

Kas, it will be interesting to see what's going on a year from now. I should probably get myself some nic, too. I don't mind being a criminal for certain issues...at all! So why is it important to put nic in glass bottles?? leaching from plastic??

Well sorry about gong off about the DIY thing, it has me a bit worried, and yes leeching from plastic is the main reason for glass, for your Nicotine.

Very good to see you here and on the tootle puffer thread......don't even TRY to catch up there. I catch up every day....... last nite, no one was on.......today I was 4.5 pages behind (at 40posts per page)

Same here (including the 40 post per page) - AND, I was even thinking about joining in the discussion since I too am a "Tootle-Puffer" (not to be confused with a "Fluffer" ;) ), but I have so many other threads that I am already involved with that it is just not possible . . . So every so often I do open up the "Tootle-Puffer" thread to "Lurk" so I can see what's happening and possible get a laugh or two . . .
arg-reading-cpu.gif

I've never seen another one for RTD but if you do find one and think about it, please share it. I do need to buy quite a few batteries from them whenever I can I need some aw imr 18650's and 18490's and I at least know I can trust rtd even if i have to pay more.

Actually, when I did a "Google" search for RTD Vapor Coupons/Codes I saw one for 10% OFF during their July 4th sale and during their Thanksgiving sale they had 15% Batteries/Chargers & 50% OFF & Free Shipping for almost everything else last year . . . SO - I'm gonna wait some and will let "You" know if something good comes along, hopefully they will have those same batteries available then too (especially since I really don't want to use anything that is not suggested/supposed to be used in "My" BB ). . . Oh Yea - RTD Vapor FB page has 2 different contest every week - Hump Day and TGIF Give Away . . . ;) BTW: Have "You" checked out that "Special Place" for "Verified Members", especially since that is where I got a lot of those same size batteries for a very reasonable price . . . Matter of fact, I have a small stock pile of them - 18650/18490-18500 Button/Flat tops . . . Just Sayin' . . .

It's pizza for me. I have one every night for a snack. Just little $1.00 microwave pizza. They aren't very big but I love em.

WELL - That could be one of the reason for not being able to sleep at night . . . Just Sayin' (see below) . . . ;)

Stud, have you asked your doctor about your sleep patterns? When I was at my worst (never sleeping for more than 30 minutes or an hour at a time, ever), that was about the time that I found out I was diabetic.

Actually for "Me", "My" Sleep Patterns reveled a lot, including that I have "Sleep Apnea" and then it was getting up ever 15 - 30 minutes to go that reveled I was a "Diabetic" and not that I was just an old man with weak kidneys or another problem that could have been worse . . .

Wow J5, sorry to hear that. If it's heartburn, have you tried raising the head of your bed? If it's other stuff, well, not sure what to say. Some do swear by drinking a TBS of apple cider vinegar with the mother in it, in a glass of water.
this stuff Amazon.com : Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar Organic Raw -- 32 fl oz : Glycolic Acid : Grocery & Gourmet Food

THANKS for that particular link . . . :thumb:

I think it's either irritable bowel or croans but I'm not a doc. Next dr. visit it's going to come down to an answer.

AH - I am not a Doctor either, however I will do a little personal disclosure below to give Ya' something to think about . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

WARNING

:danger: THE FOLLOWING IS :offtopic: AND CAN BE LABORIOUS TO READ
ALSO - MIGHT EVEN BE UNINTERESTING TO SOME . . .
I DO NOT Expect Everyone Will Want To Read What I Have Posted . . .
Nor Will I Be Offended If You Don't Read It and Just MOVE ALONG . . .

NOW - With That Said - The following multi-quotes are very similar if not the same that I have personally experienced and/or am experiencing now . . .

I do agree that raising the head of the bed helps tremendously! I just put a square of 2x4 under both feet at the head board and it solved quite a lot of my bed time acid reflux problems! That along with some Prilosec or Pepcid AC and it all but disappeared.

I use OTC ranitidine. Doesn't happen often, but yeah I've had that burning acid belch up into my throat.....heck of a way to wake up......with your throat on fire, and having to cough it up. For awhile it was happening quite a bit, and that had me concerned. But it doesn't happen so much now.

I'm on prescription medicine for reflux so that hasn't bothered me in yrs. I can feel the food go through my system from start to finish and can tell you where it's at in my system at any time.

Digestive problems also effect my sleep, although not to nearly the same extreme. I'm not particularly aware of my digestion except that, at one particular stage, I become wide awake. No matter how dead tired I am, my eyes are wide open and I absolutely cannot sleep.

I had been tested years before for diabetes because I had all the symptoms. There's no question I was, at least, pre-diabetic. If I had been to the doctor that later diagnosed me as diabetic, something would have been done about it back then. To some doctors, it's simple and absolute. Test says you have it, or test says you don't. However, some doctors are more aware that it's not that simple.

If necessary, you might try changing doctors. I assume you have been to a specialist? A gastroenterologist? Someone more aware of the subtleties of the digestive system instead of just the test results?

Good luck. Here's hoping you find the solution and that your life transforms to a more restful, full, enjoyable life.

I remember my acid reflux days. I used to get so sick of it I would sleep sitting uo on the end of my bed. I'm glad that's over. I'm also glad you got yours figured out.

Going to try and keep a very long story as short as possible and especially not to bore anyone, nor take over this thread with a discussion that is not about the "BB" and surely :offtopic:, More importantly, I don't believe I am actually going to be sharing this, but I do hope that by "My" sharing this very personal information to "Me" might be helpful if not informative to some . . .

Well - Let's just start off with the fact that I have suffered with a number of health issues for a number of years, simply because of not living totally healthy lifestyle given that I usually lived day by day and from week to week, nor had the means in which to survive at times as I would have liked - including having heath insurance (except for a couple of years and even though I did volunteer and work in a few health clinics) . . . Now even with that said . . .

First - "Diabetes" and becoming a "Diabetic". . .

As with "DancingHeretik" I was also tested for years - actually since 14 years old, because a couple of doctors saw "Red blotches" on the heals of the palm of my hands . . . Well they kept testing every so often for the same reasons and found that I was supposedly okay . . . Well now let's jump almost 30 years to the age of 44 and I find out all at once that not only was "My" sister now a type 1 Diabetic (Had to be rushed to the hospital and is Insulin dependant) , but "My" Mother also had Diabetes Type 2 (and in a couple of years became Type 1 and a few years later had to have a leg amputated). . . Then another 6 years later, because of a number of reason I had to keep getting up every 15-30 during the night, the doctor I was seeing at the time had blood work done and low and behold it was determine I was "Pre-Diabetic" . . . Then within a year "My" A1C count was so high I was "declared" a Type 2 Diabetic . . That's when was I when I finally learned that "My" Mother's Mother (who I never meet or knew was "My" actual Grandmother) had died of Diabetic Alcoholism and a then a few years later that an older brother was also diabetic (Type 1) for a number of years . . . SO - Why am I disclosing all this, well not only to let "You" know that Diabetes is and can be gotten through genetic factors (Heredity), but that "You" should never ever just pass it off as not being something that can't happen to "YOU" because of just one test or opinion . . . IMO - Everyone should get a second opinion when it is something that keeps recurring, especially when it is something that can eventually cause "YOUR" Death if "You" do not take precautions and/or the right medications . . . Just sayin' . . .

Which leads "Me" to the discussion of "Acid Reflux" and/or "GERD" . . .

WOW ! ! ! It seems there are a lot of "Us" who have and/or are still experiencing these symptoms and I truly hope that No One takes any of the signs for granted. I personally have suffered for a number of years and tried "My" best to elevate the problems I was experiencing - No More Alcohol - No Acid Producing Products, etc. (like anything made with or from Tomatoes after 7PM, including any Pizza/Pasta - or Orange Juice to just name a couple) Matter of fact, I thought after the past 10-20 years of limiting what and when I ate while taking other precautions too, I finally had it under control with the inclusion of taking a number of OTC Medications, including Zantac and the prescription for Nexium, etc. AND - Also sleeping with 4-6 Pillows and a "Wedge" to keep in a reclining position to sleep at night (which also helped with the "Sleep Apnea"). . . Well - Let "Me" just say, what I thought I was doing was good enough - did not turn out as well as I had hoped or expected, especially when the Insurance company I am forced to use here in Florida mandated that I use another generic medications instead of the Nexium "My" doctor ordered for "Me" (and this was not the first time they had done this to a prescription "My" Doctor ordered since they believe they knew better), because they felt the generic (that was for Prilosec which was not working for "Me") would be just as good . . . So given this situation, all of a sudden I started having - "ATTACKS" (mainly at night, but depending on the food I ate would also happen very infrequently during the day too) . . . To "Me" these "Attacks", felt like - WELL, I was having a Heart Attack, since there was (and still are) excruciating pain in the middle of "My" chest and in all "My" joints that would last for 4 or more hours at a time (AND - Yes, I went to the hospital the first time and it wasn't a Heart Attack - however they could not explain why it was happening either) . . . The only relief I got was to Ice down "My" Chest (I actually had to tie a "blue" ice pack for frozen foods around "Me"), take 12-14 Extra Strength TUMS, and drink 2 -2 liter bottles of Ginger Ale while sitting straight up in bed trying to get relief & begging to sleep (which I still have to do occasionally) . . . SO - Now 5 years later, after finally being able to get an upper GI - I have just been diagnosed with "Barrett's Esophagus" and "Precancerous Lesions" all from "ACID REFLUX" and IMO - taking the wrong medications . . . NOW - The HMO Insurance has finally authorized that I can get Nexium . . . However, the worse part of all this, is sometimes I am actually afraid to eat so I don't have another "ATTACK", and also given that most of the foods I NEED to avoid for this problem conflict with being a Diabetic too . . .

So Again - Why am I disclosing all this information, honestly so that "You" take the precautions Ya' NEED to and/or the right medications to avoid what I have been going through . . . Just sayin' . . . ;)

OKAY - After 3 Hours of Typing, Editing/Spell Check, and Deleting a lot of irrelevant "Stuff" . . . I really think that is more then enough from "Me" . . .

There is Nothing Else to Read or See Here - "You" Can All Move Along . . .

WELL - That could be one of the reason for not being able to sleep at night . . . Just Sayin' (see below) . . . ;)

It doesn't effect my sleep at all. I did go without to see and no change. I do okay and have learned to live without a lot of sleep. I am interested however in your post and an earlier one about diabetes. Even though I've been tested for that it could pop up and be missed after a test was done.

I want you all to meet "Miss Lila" Oh my goodness! I only know how to post "huge"..so somebody feel free to shrink her for me.

Beautiful Cat and I like big pics. Just FYI I see you use photobucket and you can shrink the size with photobucket to the size you want. Just click on the edit icon then the resize and set the size you want. Be sure you save it afterward. The original will still be there.

NOW - Remember, I am Not a Doctor - nor do I profess to be any medical professional at all . . . However, from what I know both professionally & personally and through experience, simply put - YES . . . More importantly, IMO - if per chance Diabetes has shown up in "Your" families history - it would always be beneficial to "You" to be tested for Diabetes (Hopefully, "Blood Labs" for A1C/Glucose Levels and not just from a "Glucose Meter") at least every 3-6 months and especially if "You" are showing any signs of the symptoms:

It's been awhile since I got tested so I'm going to get a blood test and have them test for that.

Krisma was talking about those coils with the small holes. Funny I just had a friend send me 3 nautilus tanks and enough coils to keep me going for about 3 yrs. I couldn't believe it. I have met some of the most wonderful people through vaping. I thank God for steering me to vaping and the people I've befriended from it.

Wahoooooo!!! That's wonderful!!!! Happy 2 to you!!! bday 2 donald duck holding cake 2 candles.jpg

Uncle, thanks. Didn't think about FB page for RTD although I really do hate it and rarely sign in. But will have to try to remember to look for that. I do check the classies from time to time. But not sure if I'd trust most batts on there unless perhaps they were way way cheaper. and of course depending on who was selling them. I usually have to plan purchases quite a bit in advance since I don't have funds to just leave them in PP, so that sorta precludes classies atm, but that will hopefully change a bit soon. I did find the same google search you did (I think) but it said most were expired but might work, didn't post it cuz I figured they likely wouldn't if they were expired. appreciate you posting what you did about issues. So glad that you are now back on the nexium. It makes me crazy that these dang insurance companies won't pay for things people need. You likely wouldn't have pre cancerous lesions if they had. That is one thing that kinda worries me a little bit with as much acid as I've regurgi-burped.

Wahooooooooo Catcat!!! Wow that is a purdy drip tip. Assuming all the glittery stuff is encased in acrylic or something! Ms Lila is bootiful!!
