Someone needs to make an ohm meter or adapter specially for these. Either that or make them differently so a regular ohm meter can be used!
Jup that would be nice. I do have a 6.00 DMM from harbor freight with the two pointy things on leads, not sure how you'd use the alligator clips that Raq showed.

I just tried one more thing and it was very simple, I took the small flat red gasket thingy around the positive pin inside the BB out and now it fires.:)

I knew that I was not that bad at building coils. :glare:
well was happy at this except you shouldn't have to be removing anything, but sorry the insulator ripped. I would definitely contact him and get him to send you a new one. Unless the washers someone else suggested would be better. But I'd still let him know about the issues you had.

And another minor bummer is you can't dry burn the coil to get the junk off when changing the cotton.
that would drive me bonkers.

Sounds like something I would do. Pay so much attention to the big things and overlook the little things.
Measure and buy a bag of nylon shoulder washers. I'm pretty sure his silicone insulators are off the shelf and not custom made in order to keep costs down.

So, that's what those things are called! Shoulder washers/insulators.

My coils cost about 1 cent a piece! ;) :D hehehe

Mine cost about $1, but come with an ease that I can't place a value on.

I've been known to swap out TWO Billet Bridge coils in 2-3 minutes, before rushing off to work. And sometimes I need to be able to do that.

Yeah after my fumble fingers glass fiasco I am thinking bout going back to my Billet Bridge and the BVC coils. Never have to mess with the glass out of the box that way :)

I have way more problems with the boro tanks than I'll ever have with the BVC's (which is "never").

For ME, perfection was achieved with the original Bridge and the all-delrin tank. In my opinion, neither has yet to be improved upon.

I wish the Rev 4 had a delrin tank option, in fact. But I can't have everything now, can I? Onward, upward.

Damn

Sorry to read of your struggles, kas.

I don't know what to say.

It was the easiest build for me aside from an rda with perfect post spacing, adequate post holes and hex head screws.

Wow man, seriously sorry.

This is going to bother me now.

Tapatyped

Its alright, I was so irritated by the time I found the problem, then having the insulator rip after I found out the issue, just was too much for one day.

Kas

Did you anneal the wire before building?

With such thin gauge, it's likely the wire is warping and shorting if it's not annealed.

Don't see anything else that wasn't covered.

Tapatyped

I was building them both ways annealed, and not, just trying everything I could think of, I know the coil it self was not shorting out against the side, I have a really strong magnifying glass.

Now that is some useful info! Bookmarked that, I am waiting for OHMAN"s reply right now, so I will for now get the ones that he sends me, but getting some of those would be great. I am just not sure which ones would fit.

wow you get em cheap. Mine were always 2 sumpthin. I can dryburn and rewick pretty quick if I need to, but probably more like 5 mins if I had to do two of em quickly.

More like $1.50, now that I think about it. But they last me quite awhile.

Time it. I'll guarantee it's more than 5 minutes to do two, ALL things considered (taking out and putting away anything you need included in the process. I'm saying that I can do that swap, front to back, and sometimes with a bag on my shoulder. If I just measure swapping the coil - it's about 30 seconds (with a Battler).

Time is money... ;-)

You are right I am not sure what I was thinking of.

They don't fit..

I looked in my vape box and I have a few of the 1.5 Kanger new round ones and they will not slide into the tank hole. They are a tad to big.. Bummer!

I came to the same conclusion with the Nauti coils, just yesterday. BVC's for the win!!!
