Been messing around with the "B"astard coil lately. Could never get right trying to build my own vertical coils. Even though it's designed for vertical coils, I just tried my first horizontal coil and instant success. 6 wraps, 28g, 3mm ID, coming in at 1.47ohm. Using the MTL pin without AFC piece.
It's good but now that I've tried horizontal I think I can perfect even more. Next time I'll take it down a wrap to 5 instead of 6 and see how that goes.

Even though it looks like the F5 wars are shrinking in the rear-view mirror...in case anyone misses out on Saturday, it looks like there are some goodies in the Classies at the moment.
Was having trouble removing the battery. Was breaking fingernails and worried about bunging up the heat shrink on the battery. Didn't want to remove the negative piece attached to the Billet Box and try to crimp it or something. Used package tape for a battery pull because that's what I had laying around. Cut about a 6 inch strip of package tape in half lengthwise. Wrapped one piece around the battery and folded over the end to form a tab for pinch and pull battery removal. Easy fix and package tape is stronger than some other similar tapes and tape is cheap if it only holds up a month or so.
Cut the tape in half lengthwise because the package tape was too wide to fit in the slot of the silicone battery storage sleeves I have. If you don't have that issue, no need to cut the tape in half lengthwise.

BBV has great customer service!
They're also a practical company, so I wouldn't be surprised if they gave you instructions on how to "repair" the issue yourself...seeing as it's not a functional issue with the board or button.

I had the same issue once, Jesse. I simply super-glued it back in, but please don't do it MY way. I was a bit sloppy and got stupid glue on the box itself.

It's because people in certain states can't play the F5 game anymore with BBV. But other US manufactures still ship to us.
I know I am openning up a can of worms. But their lawyers or accountants......

And yes, I have had forum members say they would get me anything I needed. And ship it to me. But I am not going to put someone out, So I don't smoke a cigarette.

I think I started around Page 750 of this thread, and just finished, whew. Learned alot so far. I'm only 5 tankfuls in using the Aspire 1.8 coils @16watts.

To be honest, I saw those Rob and was immediately turned off. The plug and string is just not sexy at all. Completely detracts from what would otherwise be a gorgeous ultem tank.
The BBV Boro is just elegantly simple.
Unfortunately I have a big problem with BB customers support. I have bought RPG Piebald on August, 14th and gave my European adress (Warsaw,Poland). When the parcel has arrived to polish custom, someone stupid customs oficcer decided to stop my parcel, because, as they said, "this product do not have some europian certificates". So, they refunded it away to Utah on September, 18th. Last week my parcel was delivered to Billet Box office. During all this time I wrote a lot of messages on BB site, called on both telephone numbers, but nobody answer me!
If somebody know the fastest way to contact with Doug Dino directly (may be another e-mail adress or telephone number), inform me, please, because I am afraid, that nobody in BB office want to help me to solve the problem.
