I spent 2 solid days setting up bios when I put a new mobo in my sons computer for Christmas. It only had an I-3 processor but it's overclocked to I-5 specs. He's pretty happy with it because it was a 2009 Emachine before I worked on it.
Debadoo I have all my PCs set to download updates but let me choose to install them. Another good tool to use is chkdsk. It will fix and problems on your windows installation.
I had my onscreen keyboard quit and a couple other things from uninstalls that took some dlls with it. chkdsk fixed it and replaced the missing dlls in about 5 min. if that long. All you have to do is type "chkdsk" on the start menu search box and then click on it when it comes up. Then click start.

When I got a 2.8ghz P4 in 2006, it was like my computer was on steroids or something.
