Thank you so much M8!! I just order it.

Hi, first post here and total BB novice..so be gentle!
I've been lucky enough to get a BB from the latest batch and I'm expecting delivery soon. Been reading through the thread with great interest!
I'm particularly interested in the work and mods you have been doing to the diver. With this in mind I've come across the Sophia rba. Has anyone tried this in the BB?

eliquidbar.com/component/virtuemart/gv-sofia-σοφια-rba-atomizer-by-leo-detail#

Basically an update on the killer , gets great reviews and looks a real viable option for the BB.

I will make it work if I have to cut some form the top then I will ;)

The only problem with the Sofia could be the position of the inner air flow tube. I'm not sure where this is positioned within the tube body....if it's too high it will make removing the excess length impossible.

New to the thread and relatively new to vaping. Very interested in the Billet Box and have book marked the new BB forum. Spent last night and this morning going through the tread (skimming as there are a bazillions pages). Have passed through the carto tank phase some weeks ago as well as Genny's and Oddy's. Currently having fun experimenting with coils in Drippers and Tank heads. I am retired and took up vaping after over 50 years on cigarettes and cigars due to health issues. Never was much interested in smokeless tobacco. Sorry I missed the last batch a few days ago, but considering how fast they sold out, I probably would have missed them anyway. How long does it normally take between batches?

Welcome to the vaping scene!! It is very addicting for sure!! You really have to be very quick on the website, cause they sell out within minutes!!

They try to get a batch out once a week (*Normally* they release it every Saturday).

Thanks Fraggboy. I am really enjoying the "hobby" LOL. My children think I have lost my mind! I have even dabbled with DIY but have not had much success as yet. Seems like the smart thing to do with the politicians and FDA playing around with restrictions. I have a couple of large bottles of nick in the fridge as well as a tool box full of Flavors. Not enough to last a lifetime, but will get me by for awhile. Thanks for the PM!

Where can I buy just nic. Just in case the government shuts down the juice bizz, so they can stay in bed with the tobacco companies that they supposedly hate.

RTS Vapes, Wizard Labs, Box Elder, My Freedom Smokes and several of the DIY websites. Most of these guys have sales now and then, so sign up for their mailing lists to catch a great deal.

Thanks for the warm welcome Drunk_J !
Looked at the condor link and you are doing some fantastic work there. I will definately be checking back regularly for a production version!
Can't wait for the BB to arrive, been experimenting with Micro coil /cotton builds on the diver and seem to have eliminated all leaking issues....guess this could all change with the BB tank though!
Considering ordering the Sophia, although I'm not sure if be able to remove enough from the tube length for it to fit in the BB.. The tube has a inner funnel toward the top! I've emailed the manufacturer regarding the BB, to ask if he'd be able and interested in supplying a reduced size tube.
All the best with condor project! Exciting times!

I have Sophia ( and another on the way ) but I don't see it as an option for BB. Sophia has juice flow control and the BB would eliminate this feature. Now if you could determine the opening needed for your juice to wick properly and without flooding, then you could measure and cut the top tube to accomodate the opening. BUT, you'd be stuck with that once you did it, and inserting/removing it from the tank might be a hassle.

I saw a few videos about Sophia and it doesn't leak. So I am fine with that if I cut it from the top and measure it like that. It should be way better than the driver. I guess I will find out when it comes in and I will post some pics and let you guys know if it works or not. I really hate cartomizers so I am looking for anything other than that. Something that is already made is even better - I have a newborn at home and dont have time to be building.

Cool. I really interested in seeing this inner tube the others mentioned and what purpose it serves. The web site doesn't really show anything like that.

I have a really hard time with cartos too. With Sophia's juice control open as shown it looks to me like you'll cut right below the inside shelf thingy majiggy (not sure what that's for ). But again, once you cut the tube you'll be stuck with that amount of feed so I recommend testing it in a carto tank first to see how open you need it to feed your juice viscosity.
What bothers me about losing the ability to open or close it is that I've never had a tank system that didn't have flood issues from time to time when tank pressure changes. In fact, Sophia works best for me if I open it to feed, then close it for a few vapes, then repeat.
I will try it anyway, but not until my other one arrives.

Just wanted to say Hi and do a little dance for my BB touching down in London.

It truly is a beautiful bit of design and just works. It is very well made indeed. My thanks to you Doug and all those helping out in the background.

I've not been on a carto for many many months and was a little surprised at how happy I am with it. Although the slots on my Boges seem a bit high so when the tank gets down to half it will be below the slot.... Figure I'll just grab a Dremel and do my own slots.

Or give Big Screen D's Evod head mod a go. Though I'm not convinced my DIY will be up to the task.

Hope all you good folk Stateside had a good Columbus Day?

Take it easy all

Nib

For all of the diver users here I found an interesting post on the pit by candysmoke and it appears to have fixed my leaking issues. Simply took a dremel and shaved down each of the channels on the 510 connector and the center pin to give a little bit more airflow. Also left a bit more wick on the top and had it going straight up. This seems to have done the job, no more gurgling and no more leaking.
