Ok so I'm experiencing some problems with my Billet Box currently. Hoping someone here may have some insight into the problem as I do not. I've emailed Billet via their web page but haven't received anything back yet seeing as I only did that a few hours ago. I figured someone here maybe able to help.

Billet Box V2, had it since one of the first pre-orders. Got it July 4th and have been using it almost daily. Cartos are Boge SR Stainless. batteries are AW 16340 Protected ICR 123 (Black ones) directly from RTD. Here are the issues:
1) After firing the Billet and releasing the button sometimes it will continue to fire until I repress the button and release again.

2) The vape is very weak 50% of the times. Have it set to around 5V however it feels more like 3V tops.

3) Vape will start off strong then I can hear the carto begin to emit less noise and the vape becomes weak.

4) The button is clicky now when it never was before.

5) After depressing the button I can hear a clicking noise not associated with the carto but with something within the Billet itself.

That is all I can think of at this time but that seems to be all of them. None of these problems arose until I began using the new brass ring with the Billet. I've tried many solutions, everything I can think of besides taking it apart. New cartos, new batteries, THOROUGH cleaning, etc. When I meter the Billet it always indicates the voltage I have it set too. When I place the original brass ring in the Billet the problems seem to go away (only been doing it for 10min with the original brass ring at this time). So now I'm beginning to think it is the new brass ring causing the problems somehow.

I know from V2 - V3 there was an update to the firing mechanism within the Billet. Could this paired with the new brass ring be causing my performance issues? I really like the new brass ring as it prevents leaking but it is unusable in its current condition.

Anyone have any ideas or can give me a more defined description of what the V3 board does that the V2 doesn't ?

Thanks for reading!

I idea how to help you. But concluded yourself virtually hugged.

It 100% is not the new ring.. just seems your board is suffering from one of the issues that made me design the v3 board.... there was no pin pointing the EXACT origin (too many variables)... but it stems from a battery imbalance, charger or cells... give me a call, we'll get ya taken care of..

I've recieved my BB after my order on november 23rd, but 2 friends of mine who ordered the same day have still not recieved anything... Impossible to join anyone on BB site.... Doug if you come around, please contact me....

I'm betting on customs, sometimes they just keep um for a good long while, think the worst one was 11 weeks in uk customs. The office girls can sure file a claim with usps, and will do what they can to help... buttttttt... your friends sure wrote them some great letters already, they really liked the ones that threaten to slander us on ecf france, facebook and twitter if we don't send them free ones immediately... cute....... i'm sure the girls will continue to be polite and as helpful as possible....

Hope everyBoxer (and future -Boxer) had a Merry Christmas! Good to see everyDino posting again, too. :)

Minor update on BB's and inner leaking ... Weird but coolish. This week I traveled to see family with two BB's w/fresh fills and cartos, a couple of dripper mechs and a handful of backups of various types. Never needed anything but the BB's, though I did use the other stuff just to change up flavors or get in a good drippin' session.

Anywho, I checked the BB tanks out periodically over the week and the weird thing is that despite the changes in elevation and suchnot, neither BB condensed into itself until near the end of the week, after a couple-three tank fills and with both cartos near needing to be replaced. Even then it wasn't bad, just noticeable. This was with a V1 and V2 brass ring. Problem seems to have cleared since replacing both cartos, too.

Trying to figure out what the variable is ... beginning to suspect this may have something to do with the cartos somehow, maybe some being more prone to cause this or just being more prone as they "age" or get to some point of being less efficient than when new. Will continue to monitor and see if something more specific can be pinpointed.
In the meantime anyone having issues with liquid getting behind the tank might consider replacing their carto a little sooner than usual to see if that makes a difference for them.

And FWIW, got some feedback from some vaper friends and will be keeping the fancy button on the BBW. Apparently it doesn't seem so gaudy in real life as it comes out in pics. :)

Really honestly truly planning on taking advantage of the remaining days off to take some time to update the BB FAQ. Gonna be fun combing through the thread to pick up the latest greatest info but hopefully it'll be useful for some new and up-and-coming BBoxers.

Stay safe through the New Year, folks ... it's a World out there. . . .

I can ABSOLUTELY 110% attest to the FACT that the "incredibly good looking" guy (and his beautiful Mrs.) at the above mentioned number are BOTH amazing sweethearts! :D Customer service above and beyond!

I've spent a little over three weeks visiting family in Florida for the holidays. I travelled with ... Ahemmmmm ... A couple mods (be quiet DP and Ms. Darling!! LOL!) ... But the only mod that went out and about with me everywhere I went every day was my beloved BB! I'm still using the same slotted Boge in the two tanks I loaded when I left three weeks ago.

Meanwhile ... My granddaughter picked out a sticker that she thought would look good on my "puffer thingie"! :D She did good!

Happy upcoming New Year 2014 to Mr. & Mrs. DD and the whole BBville crew! ((Hugs!))

(Soooooooooooo ... I'm guessing there's no chance of that abalone button I'm lusting for showing up in my mail when I return home as a surprise Christmas present ... Huh Vapian??? LOLOLOL! ;-) That's OK! I DO have a new brass ring waiting for me when I return from a fellow BB'er who was so kind and thoughtful and generous to think of me during my HECTIC "Nana Time" in Florida! THANK YOU!! You know who you are! ((Huge Huggies!!)) :D )

My tanks have a slight leaking problem from the ball valve. After an hour or two of vaping on my Billet if I remove the door panel I will see that juice has seeped out from the ball valve on the tank and slowly trickled down the face of the tank and down towards my batteries.

This is a new problem for me and only has started to happen since I began using the new brass ring. Not saying that is the culprit at all at this point just a coincidence. It could easily be my ball valves have worn down from repeated filling with plastic needle tips. I use the Luer 20g plastic needle tips that RTD sells.

It happens on all 4 of my tanks, and one of the tanks is relatively new (2 weeks of use). Anyone have any ideas on how I can prevent this or why it is now happening ?

Another holiday snap of a beautiful bit of engineering, oh yeah that's the burj khalifa in the back ground.....
