Start leaving him a note with what as to be done that day.Sit it next to his coffee and grab your coat and leave. Then...See what happens...He might just do it.

Yeeks, liked your post that you are ok, then unliked it because you got hurt. :(

I fell on the front steps yesterday morning. Granite step covered with ice. It's possible I cracked a rib, but I checked in with a nurse friend of mine. She said as long as my breathing is normal and I'm not in excruciating pain, there is nothing they will do for me except send me home and tell me to take Advil. My breathing is fine, and I'm in less pain today. I skipped the ER and went straight to the Advil. :)

You have to do that otherwise they sit on the couch and watch you work after you have already worked all day. I have to say my husband is a neat freak and I'm a slob. What doesn't matter to me matters to him and he will clean,He cusses the whole time but it's worth it.He used to get mad about the way I folded his clothes finally I told him to do it himself and now he does, He really cleans when he's mad. My sister would ask me to come over with him and make him mad so he would clean her house. He's done that too. LOL
Actually he's a big help.

Oh my. Poor Sallie!
Tip for avoiding housework: evil glare and hand the dustrag to anyone who dares say anything about the condition of the house/shack/hut. I personally have formally introduced Mr. V to the washer and dryer. They are now on first name terms.

You were probably losing it gradually and your eyes compensated for it.It does sneak up on you. Please go to the eye Dr. and tell him/her though.Make sure your eyes other than being foggy are healthy..It's probably from doing all the close up nail work you've been doing for the past couple of weeks.I hope everyhting is O.K.
How old are you Bliss? I started losing my reading sight mid 40's but I wasn't doing any kind of close up work to strain my eyes.
Funny story: My best friend wore glasses from 5th grade on and when she got older she of course like everyone needed reading glasses as well.So he got the progressives. About 6 months ago her eyes like went bad overnight. Her glasses did nothing to help and she got scared and of course made an appt with the ophthalmologist. He kept asking how long she had been wearing glasses and she told him since elementary school. He kept retesting her eyes with glasses on and glasses off. Finally after she told him she was getting a little scared he said. :"This is unbelievable"
"Your eyesight is perfect" You needn't wear you glasses for reading or driving. They are 20/20.
Sure enough she no longer has need of her glasses. What a happy ending. LOL

Wow that is a happy ending!

I'm 36 years old. My mom's thing happened to her 2 weeks after she turned 40 and now she wears glasses all the time not just for reading. My maternal grandma and great grandma both wore them all the time too. I figure it is bound to happen to me. Just weird how it seems to have developed over night. I am sure that recent weeks are playing in to it too, just seems too coincidental and I don't believe in coincidences

I can't stand the grocery store either. We do most of our major shopping at Sam's once a month and try to avoid going to the grocery store as much as possible. Sam's has nice big aisles and big carts to "accidentally" run into the people that still manage to block the aisle

I hate broken ribs. Nothing you can do about it. I can't count how many times I've broken ribs. I split my sternum once, that was a nightmare. I had to sleep in a chair for about 3 weeks.

Ouch, that sounds really painful. It could just be a bruise for me, it's hurting a whole lot less today. Just when I move the wrong way now, and it's closer to my spine too, so maybe that's a plus. More stability there or something...

The first night, I slept in my bed and it took me about an hour to get upright. I had to roll out of bed. I promptly caught a cold and would about pass out every time I coughed or sneezed.

Wow, didn't even think about that. Thank goodness I got over my cold a few weeks back before I pulled this stunt. That sounds incredibly painful. How did you manage to split your sternum and crack ribs? Do you play sports?

Just a quick shout out and thank you to Maureen.

The ruling is out on the CC Creme De Menthe for a close friend of mine.

First thing I did was try it myself. As a menthol hater (in my analog days) I was immediately surprised at how nice it vaped. It is also very satisfying if you need a big TH and punch. I explained it to my friend that it was kind of like smoking an altoid, and she liked that discription and was intrigued.

So I marched over to her place on Friday night and brought her a new Foxy Box Mod, 4 batteries, a few smoktech cartos, and a bottle of CC Creme De Menthe. She immediately liked it on friday night, and she smoked very few while I was there.
Well, yesterday she started her first full day of vaping a decent ecig, with a great liquid, and she went from 2 packs of day of newports, to only 1/2 a pack.

Thanks Maureen! She personally wanted me to thank you .

Now her cousin wants a kit, and some more eliquid :)

Well now, what a lovely conversation to wake up to! Morning, posse.

I have been lucky and haven't broken much in my life. Aside from the occasional cracked ribs (mostly snowboarding and long boarding related), I've fractured my tailbone (when I was 12 and broke an old swing, while swinging) and my pelvis (jumping into Corbet's Couloir via a side cliff). The last one was the worst of the lot, and pretty scary might I add. I was lucky enough to not suffer any internal organ damage, but it was still about two months before it stopped constantly hurting, and I had to deal with six months of physical rehab. Never again.
