It gets more complicated than that with dual coils. Each coil is 3 ohm, so you are pulling 12w twice but I don't think it calculates to double the hit. The amperage also goes way up to possibly unsafe levels.Thank you for the link to the ohm calc, Sallie...but I do have one question for those that may know...
If I have a 1.5 Ohm DC carto...they're wired in parallel, correct...so the resistance that I would put into the calc would be the circuits resistance, which is true 1.5 ohm, and not the single coil resistance of 3 Ohm from each coil, right?
If my calcs are correct, if I slap a dual coil 1.5 ohm carto on my 6v mod...I'm pulling 24W?? Is that right??

Ahh..so I see. Gonna steal that and add it to my notes. This may help.

Based on this, it doesn't appear the power output is linear when you add the second coil.
I about gave myself a headachewhew, thought I was gonna go crosseyed or something
You forgot to tell us what your vaping...just sayin'
I and our fellow nerds shall retire to the nerdery!Actually, I like nerd hour. It helps me too. And as a nerd, I mean, I'm not a nerd. Um. Never mind.![]()
