I will provide pictures just got my Dark Horse pre order today in the mail. First the build quality is excellent. Threads are super smooth. Second the amount of flavor and vapor I have been able to get out of this thing so far with my first build is absolutely insane. I mean we are talking super dense 6 - 7 foot long plumes lol. Right now the build I am running is a 0.2 ohm dual 24 ga coil. It is a modification to a coil I found on you tube. Basically it is a combo between a micro and standard wrapped coil causing the juice to pocket in the gaps. I wrapped this on a 1/8 drill bit. This RDA is the new big daddy on the block the amount of air flow options are just insane. The performance is insane as well love it.

HERE ARE THE PICS... (Oh btw yes that is the Monster Drip Tip insulator it comes with measures in a 14mm )

Got mine yesterday, Still experimenting with air holes.

I have my standard 24g dual at .22 in their.

The big bore drip tip it comes with almost feels to big but still playing with it.
The build is solid and like silk.

The big drip tip takes a little to put in because its a pressure fit but i'm sure this will work in some over time.

I'm coming from a Version one Tugboat (⅛" wholes drilled) I loved this thing great taste and flavor. Trying to find that sweet stop with DarkHorse.

Also want to play with some single coils with this and see who it goes.
So far this is a cloudchaisers dream but trying to find that spot that give me the same flavor or better then my tugboat.

also have this on my IPV3 so playing with wattages also

Any tips are welcome, please share your findings

Got mine on the 14th, put a dual parallel coil with twisted 24 gauge and .8 ribbon (tiger wire) at 0.1 ohms. This thing is ridiculous, it has so much airflow with the chuff tip. Never had an RDA with stock airflow this good. Love the post design and have no problem with the 2mm juice well. Can drip plenty into this thing without it leaking.

The o-rings are a little bit weak, but they have gotten a little stronger over the last couple days (which makes no sense). Might get thicker ones in the future. The gold plated pin is super conductive, now I just need a mechanical mod that can match this things performance. If you are using the chuff tip you will definitely need a low ohm build to get the same flavor you would get from a tugboat. If I just use the wide bore one I get pretty great flavor, but it isn't a reduced chamber atomizer with a concave top cap. So it won't condense the vapor into a smaller stream.

Great for cloud chasing, not going to be something I use while I am out and about though, lol. Would look pretty ridiculous blowing clouds with this thing in public.

Been experimenting a lot with mine. So far every build I have thrown in it gives great clouds and flavor. Right now I am back to running my hybrid coils at 0.2 ohms seems to give the best number of vapes per drip so far. For a day I was running a 28 ga 3 strand single parallel coil at 0.3 ish ohms and omg great vape but you only get 1.5 pulls before you need to drip again. I swapped down to the standard wide bore drip tip and still getting more airflow then any other atty I tried but I do think the monster drip tip gives the better vape if you do not mind hot juice spitting up into your lips.

24-gauge dual parallel coil goodness:

I actually had to spend some time carefully tilting these coils so that they would fit correctly, but it is chucking the clouds. This uses a lot of juice extremely quickly. It sure is fun though!

EDIT:
As a final note, the above build burns through my juice way too quickly. I have switched back to a standard dual coil at .27. This is perfect. It still chucks some clouds, I don't have to change out my batteries quite as often, and I can save some juice until my new juice orders come in the mail.

yeah... i just edited my above post. The low-ohm parallel 24 uses juice way too fast. I was re-dripping every three to four hits. It definitely is fun though! Enjoy your build.

Nice,

Just got a dual 24g 5 wrap twisted on (Dark horse on IPV3)
- This is my first time making a twisted build

Going to grab some lunch then wick it. Will post more pics later

I changed my mind. I am having fun with this new dark horse. I just put together your twisted build almost exactly, except with one less wrap in the coils. .2 ohm puts me at about 90 watts on my mechs. Its another build that goes through liquid pretty fast, but I am in cloud chasing mode tonight!

Nice bro,
Been playing with wicking a bit with the twisted build, Not sure if I like the wick over center poll. I think its running better now with out it.
I just found running it over the center poll seemed to spit and pop a lot more.

Happy with my build / wick right now.

Yeah my wraps I guess are not to standard I guess.
Mine are wrapped around a punch measuring 2.25mm
So 5 wraps parallel twisted 24 gauge brings me to .145

I just picked up my darkhorse last night & tried 2-3 builds with 26 gauge... I think the kanthal is too thin, I tried a quad coil but couldn't get the screws to hold down all the legs, so I went to a dual coil & kept having the same issue, in the center post it would clamp down only one of the two legs.... even with the screw practically bottomed out it seemed like the kanthal was on the side of the hole rather than the bottom center, maybe it was jumping up into the threads?

The screws kept coming loose on me too, but once I got it all said & done it was a pretty nice .4 build.... I think a thicker kanthal will solve my problem... suggestions?

Hey how does the darkhorse compare to the little boy? They both offer huge competition drip tips and adapters for regular bore 510 drip tips but what is the flavor and airflow comparison of the 2? I have a doge and that is a pretty decent dual purpose atty it does clouds nice but will give decent flavor too, the mutationX I gave it away it was just too weak in the flavor department. Right now my favorite go to atty is my tobh v2 with a chuff top it does both nicely flavor and chuck some monster clouds got a custom coil build @.13 on it and it is stellar flavor and bustin 7' dense clouds. I need something new to play around with and torn between lil'boy darkhorse and hobo. Anyone that can give a comparison of the 3?
