I don't think I can provide a proper review of a product without providing a little bit of history into my experience thus far with vaping. So you, the reader, can have some insight into my mindset.

I would like to think my journey into the world of vaping is similar to most. I first started with the KR808 D1 because I was mainly interested in mimicking smoking. I quickly noticed the nuisance of cycling through several batteries on the charger throughout the day to make sure I never was left without a charged battery! This "flaw" is not the products but my own since I wanted to carry around something cigarette sized. After doing research on battery life and power the next logical step would be to try an ego. I purchased a 900 mAH and noticed a huge difference! Not only in taste but battery life and how it kept up the same performance through the majority of the day. I also like the feel of the device having an almost rubber texture. Then I became aware of the "flaws" of this device, the button.... It's sticky and has a tendency to break. Also when I had the cone on the draw was hard. This lead me to purchase a Riva! I bought the 1100 mAH figuring the extra battery life wouldn't hurt. I immediately dislike the feel of this device, simply put it has a bad paint job. After extensive use of the Riva I made a mistake of putting on a bad atomizer that killed my battery. :::Sad Face::: I had to pay full price to replace my ego and riva, not very fun but I enjoyed these products and I wasn't buying cigarettes so it seemed worth it to me at the time

I was given the opportunity to try the E-Power from VaporJunction.com by winning one of their contests!

Opening the box it came with a Cone, Button, Battery Case, 2 1050mAH 3.7V batteries with mfg. date, Charger and a pack of cartridges. Upon assembly of the E-Power I immediately saw how every design flaw of the Ego and Riva was fixed with this model! The button is the same style as the Riva white soft and doesn't stick. The nice rubber texture. The cone doesn't interfere with airflow making for a nice smooth draw and also has a greater design for catching leaking fluid from touching the button. The battery performance seems to keep the same power from first charge to several hours later instead of tapering off. I love that I can unscrew the battery case and swap out the battery while leaving my cartomizer or atomizer still attached to the button for when i'm running out the door quickly. The best part I find however is that if any piece of this breaks be it the battery or button I simply purchase that piece alone! Not having to buy a completely new unit everytime!

I felt the need to put this review up so that others out that that may be on a similar path as I have taken will be able to skip the other investments I have made and go straight to the E-Power once you get over the whole "I want it to be just like a cigarette" phase that almost all go through and realize you want more power, longer life and more vapor. The E-Power is basically every positive aspect of the Ego and Riva in one device with no negatives plus the capability of replacing each individual part. It's simply a better investment from the get go.

Yeah ... I go back and forth between my Ego Boostered eGo and my NoEgo's (virtually identical to the 14650 and 18650 e-Power's, but sold without batts and charger for $25 and $35, respectively). I find that the NoEgo/e-Power with a Smok Tech Mega Dual Coil carto is a wonderful vaping experience. For my higher resistance cartos, I need the extra oomph provided by the Ego Booster.

And sometimes, I combine the best of both worlds:

It may look a bit odd, but it's a fun vape.:vapor:

Thank you, Starspecks, for your personalized review of this worthy device!

[BTW, technically this belongs in the E-Cigarette Mods Reviews forum. Their cones notwithstanding, the NoEgo and e-Power are mods, not "Standard" E-Cigarettes like the eGo.]

If it is using an IMR high drain battery. See my Ego Booster review for more information.

Ahhhh thanks for the info! Should've picked one up when I ordered from wonderlite earlier this week. Awesome write-up on the booster!

Really digging my E-Power and dual coil smoktechs so far.

And the 18650/Ego booster, will it work only with IMR highdrain batteries

It'll work with protected Li-Ions, you just may not get the full range of the boosters capability depending on the size battery and automizer/carto your using. Smaller batteries like 14500 you'll want to use IMR for the higher drain capacity of the battery. 18650 has enough drain capacity either way.
