Like to share an issue I had with my EA
I know. How could I have an issue, well when I purchased mine, I took it all apart and looked at everything. My bottom connector and the black plastic piece holding it was easily removed from the bottom cap, put everything back together threw in a battery and vaped away. Loved it. Well it went on that way and when I took it apart again to clean up the contacts I noticed the vent holes in the black plastic disc holding the bottom contact post were "slightly" miss-aligned with the vents in the bottom cap.
Didn't really think anything of it, simply straightened them up and put it back together. Well, the next time I took it apart the piece holding the bottom contact pin had rotated enough to completely block the holes in the bottom cap. Keeping it in that position I placed a battery in it and put it all together without the top cap, held the battery in place with my finger and tried to blow through the bottom of the mod, it was completely AIR TIGHT, the simple act of screwing it together after changing batteries put enough pressure on the bottom contact and rotate it enough to cause the device to become non-vented.
I discovered this by accident. How many people pay attention to the vent holes, I mean we assume it's vented, not the case here. I have looked at couple other EA's in the stores and found miss-aligened vents not blocked off, but a little off. And the 2 others I looked at. Well those parts seemed a little tighter than mine but I still able to turn them.
It was a simple fix with a small strip of Scotch tape on the edge of the plastic disc. Now it's in there tight enough to prevent rotation.
I, like I'm am sure everyone else changes out their batteries through the top cap unless your unscrewing the mod in the middle, regardless, keep an eye on your vent holes, I felt I needed to share this with everything else going on with the politics on ecigs the last thing we need is to give the anti vape squad more ammo because another mod blew up.
I'm on my phone right now so if this looks wonky my apologies. And sorry its so long, hope you took the time to read it.
