The end of serial numbers?

Hey guys,

after Imeo changes to CNC engravings he stopped engrave Serial Numbers.
When i understood right, it takes to much time and is more expensive to engrave it in the classical way.
What do you think?
Are Serial Numbers needed and important?
And what do you think about the new style of engravings and would you spent more money to get back the old style engravings?

Actually I am missing serials on the new devices. But I would not like to pay more money for old engravings.
I hope that proteus will have serials on it. That is the only reason for reserving one for me.

I don't care about serial numbers at all. I prefer a cleaner look.

Plus I have an engraver in my office!

Serialnumbers - as i see it - have 2,5 purposes.
1. If you are a collector
2. Register to show it is not a fake (i know numbers can be copied too - but it helps)

I am basically 50/50 on serials. I like them especially when I can get the number I want. However if I can't the number means almost nothing to me.

Btw... certainly I'd vote to have them back because I'm pretty sure many GG users really love them and many future GG owners would like to have some s/n engraving too.

Old deep engravings like on Esterigon are beautiful and serials was GG thing from the start and I miss them on Esterigon between air vents but I'm no rich guy and if no serials and cnc engraving meens less money for the same quality, I'm ok with this decision.

Serial numbers are a must have when you want to collect gg history. I would pay extra for serial numbers just to have them back.

I like Serial Numbers. The typ of engravings from the Ithaka or Just GG are my favorite. I would spend 5€ more for good Engravings and a Serialnumber.

IMEO ... can you do any update on the seriial number issue ??? are we done now with it - should I make peace in my mind ? or is there something coming in the future - sorry IMEO - I know that you are busy like hell - yet my curiosity commands me to ask this !!!!

No serials for now BT. Only Proteus will have serials and maybe the very special constructions that I may make in future
