I've been using the Erlk clone for the last 2 days and I've noticed I'm going thru more juice (1-2 ml) per day with it than my KFL+. Flavor is a bit better but the vapor is a little less (same juice). Any ideas? The Erlk does seem a bit "wetter" on the draw if that makes sense. Like it's wicking too well. I've only wicked this twice. The first was too thin. 2nd time, I used much more rayon and fluffed it above the channels with thin tails going down just above the chimney threads. Any ideas? Just the nature of the beast?

Vapor should not be less, unless you've got the air supply restricted. You should also be able to crank it up a bit more if you've got the wicking right.
The combination of proper wicking + right voltage/wattage + air flow will give you the best of both flavor and vapor.
Yeah, I upped the wattage a bit more than with the KFL+ (7w vs 10w on an Istick). I have a 1.7 coil on the KFL+ and 1.4 on the Erlk. The afc is wide open. I thought about trying it without the afc ring. I don't think I'm vaping more now than when I did with the KFL+.
Overall, I'm very impressed with the clone. It's working far better than I expected.
Ok guys. First twilight zone like experience with my ErlPrinz:
So today, I decide to pick up my eldest from school at noon to go lunch with him. While I was driving from work to school, I noticed the juice level on my ErlPrinz was low. Lesson learned. I put the mod away to avoid any dry hits. I arrive at school but the kids didn't finished class yet so while I'm waiting in the parking lot, I think - Going to fill up my atty. I grab my eliquid bottle, unscrew the drip tip, rotate the top, fill in like 2 seconds, rotate the top again, tighten the drip tip. done!
Next, I hold my mod under my arm, close the juice bottle, put it in my vaping pouch, close my pouch and grab my mod to take a few draws... I immediately notice my hand feeling wet. I look at my mod and there is juice on the side of the atty and also on the side of the mod. ARRRGGGG... I look in complete dismay at my hand and at the mod and I can't believe it! I've never had a leak EVER on ANY RTA or even those piece of crap clearomizers and now, finally, destiny has decided to punish me!
I start to see flashes of my build last night. Did I put those shoulders too low? Did I put too much wick in the channels? Did I move the wick while tightening down the chimney? GOD! Why? Why? Why is this happening to me!?
So while I'm sitting in the parking lot, looking at my hands and watch juice dripping slowly from my hands, I decide to take action. I grab a few tissues from my car, remove the atty and wipe it down. Suddenly I notice the bottom of the ErlPrinz is bone dry... how is that possible? I inspect the top of the mod and its dry too?? Where is the juice coming from? So I look at the top cap and it hits me... both holes are wide open?!?! I scream, I loose up the drip tip, rotate the topcap and tighten down the drip tip again. All is good now... UFFF... I breathe in relief. I was not forsaken by the Gods but what happen?
Well, it seems that after you rotate the top cap and seal the holes, when you tighten down the drip tip, the top cap will rotate further (remember this is the ErlPrinz, not the Erlkönigin) and in a moment of back luck, it rotated just enough to line up the top with the bottom holes, unsealing the whole thing and juice was dripping from the top because I had put the mod sidways under my arm... DUUHHH
Finally, when my kid appeared, he looked at me and said: Dad, can you stop smiling and put those paper tissues away? You look like a turd and you're embarrassing me...

Moral of the story: You can't have your holes wide open, and not expect leakage!
Not only that but also that my build didn't leak through the bottom even with the top holes open for like 2 minutes... it just spilled from the top

I've been running my erlk exclusively on my sigelei 100w! Only problem is the 510 is a little too short so I'll NEEDA adjust the mod's 510 connection. Been vaping mine using a MM coil at 31watts. Huge vapor and the flavor is intense.
