You always have the craziest stuff happen to you. :)

Yeah, my life is pretty hilarious most of the time :D

Thats funny........ Whenever I vape in the car with the windows up (which is 99.9% of the time in Texas) and I blow a cloud, I smile because it obstructs my view for a second until it "moves out of the way" ........... hahaha....

Actually I get a little unease whenever my view is blocked, thats why I usually drive with a tiny opening of the window even when my AC is on. Today was no exception but I simply forgot open the window a bit :)

No wonder our headlights are always 'on' in North Americas :)

Yeah, I hear that.. you guys are wierd. :D :D :D New cars (since 2012) are now required to have "daylight lights" on but those are usually two strips of white leds, independent of the headlights
.
There's a thread about film left on car windows after vaping with the windows closed.

Hmm... I never noticed that... probably because of the fog. Have to check that :) Thx.

I'm about to order some glass tanks from IBT, I've seen mention they break easily. Anyone able to comment on this?

I used IBTanks for carto tanks and they lasted well in excess of a year before I sold them. Only because I don't use carto tanks anymore. They are a great vendor, and the price is really good. Lots of options for colors, painting, etc. earlier in the thread Qorax had some photos of them. Yes, they are glass. Yes,if you slam, drop, etc. you can break them. The glass tanks from Erlkonigin break as well. I have a stainless Erlkonigin tank that I use on occassion. The original tank that comes with the Erlkonigin is quite sturdy as well. Hope my ramblings are of use to you.

I've read that it sometimes doesn't fit but if you flip it, it wll. I think the problem with people cracking the tubes is that they're tightening the top cap too tight. It just needs to be snug as the seal comes from the o-rings on the sides of the tank, not by the pressure holding it down. Once I feel it's snug, I let off maybe 1/16th of a turn.

I concur with all of this. I have a bunch of the IBTanks from my carto tank days and, somehow, I never broke one. I had one fall onto concrete at least once and I was shocked that it didn't break. Still...it's glass and glass breaks. I'm currently using one of their tanks on my ErlP.

Their website kinda sucks but their customer service is great, their prices are reasonable and the color options are almost endless. I highly recommend them.

I knew it!
This latest built was too perfect to be true :(

Here's what I've found with looking at all my past builds on my erlp:

1. If the taste is off for like half a tank or little more, the next tank is perfect and the build last for over a week without a hitch.

2. If the taste after a new build is off for a couple draws and then gets perfect, the build lasts about 5-6 days and then I start getting variable airflow i. e. it suddenly feels blocked, then airy, then blocked again... Time for a rebuild.

3. If the draw is perfect right from the start, the next tank has variable air flow right away... Only way to fix that is to remove the afc completely and yet I have the feeling it will start to gurgle in a couple of days

Now the only way I can explain this is that I've been cutting down on the wicking in every build so probably there is a fine line between perfect and a little too much trimming.

Considering the outcomes, I rather have the taste a little off for a few draws and have the perfect vape for a week then nailing it on the first draw and have the wick collapse on the next tank.

Somehow I believe that, although minimally (or barely noticeable), the rayon keeps collapsing... It's a matter of hours, days or even weeks but it slowly collapses.

Kinda ...... right now. Yeah it's working but after 12h, it's showing me the same symptoms I usually get after 10-12 days :(

A little "off" flavor on a fresh build I can deal with, but if it's good at first and then starts to get weird it gets rebuilt.

My fave in the Erlk right now is AVE Chai. I usually get 3-4 fills before things get funky. I gave up on Boba's in the full-size tank since my wicks gunk before it's empty, that one's reserved for nano mode for me.

I guess I found the limit I can't go below. Like I said... Rather have the taste off for a few draws and not having to worry for the rest of the week then getting perfect flavor and clouds and then having the air flow going nuts on me which I suspect comes from the wick becoming over saturated.

It's 2 am so I haven't the patience to rebuild it now. I will see how it goes tomorrow. I initially removed the afc but the draw was too open for my liking so I put it back in. When the airflow started to change, I removed it again and it's fine now (although too airy) but I don't know... Hope it doesn't go south tomorrow at work.

Dusty: what a gross picture :p that Apple computer box ruins everything :D

On that note, I'm still using cotton balls for wicking. I've got some KGD on order . . . still about 3 weeks from delivery  Any particular pointers for using it to best results in this atty?

I split the pad in half and then cut a strip "about" 1 1/2 to 2 times the width of the coil. Run it through the coil and trim it for the thinner wicks and heavier shoulders. Not a very scientific description, but should help.

PS: the clouds are insane with the afc removed... At 26w this thing is a weather machine... Lol

Rebuilding mine right now. Took it to 20W.. Gaaak!! I think I need longer tails. Juice is obviously not making it's way to the coil with the gunky NET.

Maybe you need to sleep on it.. ;)

Re-wicked, and back in vaping bliss! One half of my wick was completely black from not getting any juice presumably. It was the side with the very short tail.
