Need help from former MFS (MyFreedomSmokes) customers
Has any found a supplier or company that has tobacco e-juice like or very similar to MFS Turbosmog, Tall Paul, or Red Luck?
Huh... Does this work?

Hahaha... I guess it doesn't (should be a crown like for the erlkönigin)
I'm going to bed![]()

So tried about 20 different builds, high shoulders, low shoulders, more cotton, less cotton...everything.
The flavour is non existent and dry hit city 50% of the time.
Havent had one decent flavour draw since i started with it. Its a very open draw which im not sure i like.
Gonna be a long road with this one!
True story: Bought an Erl 2 or 3 months back. Spent 3 weeks building it and cursing it. While I was falling out of love with mine, and falling in love with my squape, Jaxgator was doing the exact opposite. So I threw in the towel, and added a squape, while Jax gained his second Erl. About a month ago one came up in the classifieds and I thought I'd revisit . Glad I did. Went from 1 to none, to 2 currently. You sound like me. In hind site, much like a crappy reaction to trying a juice for the first time......sometimes it better to put it away for a week or two,and come back to it. Many of the guys here in this thread have been vaping high end gear for a long time, and most are flavor junkies, not cloud chasers. That , and my own similar experience as to what you are going through, tells me that something's missing in the linkage somewhere. I went from hating it, and divorcing it, to marrying it twice lol. Set her down, vape your other gear, and come back to it in a week....things might be different. Good luck!
Seriously? I've got this thing built to where I enjoy the vape, but vapor output is VERY lacking, my Nautilus puts out 20 X the amount of vapor. Still not sure, with the P2.5 I have to keep it at 3.6v, otherwise it gets really harsh on the exhale. But at 3.6 the flavor and nic are nice but I like my vapor too, I want my vapor!!!!!!PS: the clouds are insane with the afc removed... At 26w this thing is a weather machine... Lol

On that note, I'm still using cotton balls for wicking. I've got some KGD on order . . . still about 3 weeks from deliveryAny particular pointers for using it to best results in this atty?
Probably, I'm still playing with it, it's getting better with each build. I'll get there, I'm determined.Something's definitely wrong with your build then Bud. I get great vapor and flavor out of my ErlKs.
Maybe you need to sleep on it..
Re-wicked, and back in vaping bliss! One half of my wick was completely black from not getting any juice presumably. It was the side with the very short tail.
Simply put, AFC vis-a-vis with all attys:
√Tighten the AFC = Smaller Airhole size = Tighter draw = Less airflow = More Juice into the Chamber
√Loosen the AFC = Larger Airhole size = Looser draw = More airflow = Less Juice into the Chamber
Flavor has nothing to do directly with the AFC, it'd depend on many variables, including your build, position of coil, wickability and the temperature of atomizing. However, indirectly - YES, no juice or lack of it will have a negative impact on flavour. More the juice ~ more the flavour until you flood it.
Nonetheless, a basic principle remains that:
√Coil closer to the Airhole = More Vapor, less TH and negative effect on Flavor
√Coil farther from the Airhole = More TH, less Vapor and positive effect on Flavor
Overall its a via media between either to get to your sweet spot.
I'm not saying I was the first to make this coil but I do know when I did, rip trippers was still using porous ceramic and not known for dripper coils. But it's fun to do and I can see why people do try different designs. What's really neat are those guys who make those funky twists, I think one guy is called twisted mess, he's amazing. Thanks buddyVery nice, vapdivrr! I've seen this coil before but can't remember the name. Looks like something Rip Tripper would build.
I agree with all except imo, a coil to close will impede flavor but for the most part, I have found as you move the coil further away there is a negative affect on flavor which goes hand in hand with an increase in TH. airflow is definitely a balance, as to little will produce a hot and not so flavorful vape and to much airflow can cool down the vape to much also resulting in a not so flavorful vape. funny thing with the afc in the erlk, I have found no difference in flavor with it either wide open, or very tight, so for me the only difference is one being airy or not. this might be because I don't chain vape and the possible extra juice coming into the chamber from a closed off afc doesn't matter, because I take maybe 2 to 3 long and slow vapes then stop for a time. besides the obvious coil height and airflow, I think one of the biggest contributing factors of flavor is simply a perfect wick and coil. a good coil has to have good wick coverage for your preferred wattage and wick has to be in perfect contact with coil.
this coil design was the first of many that I used to run in the kayfun. I haven't done this one in a long time and figured I give her a shot in the erlp. with this set up, I am getting the very best performance to date from this atty. flavor and vapor are noticeably increased. don't know if its the coil design, or the amount of wicking but this is definitely a keeper
