Hey, lemo drop user here. I love the lemo drop, great flavor and ease of build. Just a little irritated at how I've to bottom fill it. Looking at the erlk as it is top fill.

Any previous lemo users can compare the vape/build experience using the erlk? Will be using 30g twisted ni200 5/6 wraps around 3mm.

I do have both and enjoy both. I don't have experience with nickel builds though as I'm allergic to it. I believe members are using it nicely in both attys though.

Its difficult to access your build on either tank without emptying your juice. If you have to empty, the Lemo may be the easier of the two; but when I did it to the Erlk it was because the glass had 3 vertical cracks and was about to let go in my hand  So that may have affected my experience.

Advantages to the Lemo: price, ease of build for newbies, wider range of airflow adjustment, glass tank standard.

Disadvantages: size, only glass tank available, bottom filling

Advantages of Erlk: top filling, more capacity for size, light weight, plastic/SS/glass tank options

Disadvantages: price, difficulty with learning the wicking for some, less adjustability for airflow, proprietary drip tip or need for adaptor

I think both attys give good flavor. Interestingly I prefer the flavor of the Lemo to that of the KFL+. I do find the Erlk brings a different flavor profile to my juices than any of my other RTAs. Some might not like that, but it intrigues me so I'm changing the flavors in it constantly to see how different they are.

roxy you do know that mamu who is highly allergic to nickel gave the nickel coils a try and had no adverse effects ...........

I was told someone did, but didn't know who. I guess I'm gun shy because I had a bad reaction to an e liquid flavor. I had that rash for about 8 weeks :( And I would probably have to wear gloves to wrap it.

In that case, doesn't even sound like it would be worth it for you to attempt messing with nickel. If your kanthal builds are satisfying you, then keep on keepin' on.

Damn, that OS DT looks sexy AF

Yup, couldn't agree more. I really didn't think I'd like them when qorax first posted them earlier on in this thread so I never bought any. Mtek had bought this one for his Erl that he ended up selling to me. Since it will only fit the Erl he included it in the deal. The bottom part of the tip matches the Erl's metal perfectly. The top is polished SS and pretty much the same shape as the stock delrin drip tip..

Those OS specific DTs are incredible looking in-person on this all ready great looking rta. FYI, Discreet had about 10 of them in stock, they got them direct from Erlk as they are not allowed to be sold online in Germany. They will sell you them here though, I'm wanting to say they have the straight two-tone model too. About 30 bucks, but worth it. I got a couple regular 510 models for Kayfuns, but much more fitting aesthetically with the Erlk specific ones imo.

Quick stupid question:

Can you do a left handed coil (wrapped clockwise) on a normal screw? I was looking at a screw I found at work which has a perfect coarse threading for a nickel build but I can't figure out if I can wrap the coil that way on it. Holding the head in my left hand, I have to wrap it ccw for the wire to line up in the threads or should I grab the screw by the end.... Or use my right hand or....

Definitely. Deciding to use the stock tank or glass..... opinions?

Stock tank CAN be cracked by certain liquids, as I found out the hard way. :) (I wasn't aware FW's black licorice was a tank cracker)

But, it's more durable to knocks and bumps. So if you don't vape any liquids that crack polycarbonate and don't mind the look of the plastic tank, that's a good option. (I'm not 100% sure if the stock tank plastic IS polycarbonate, though).

Me, I do vape some liquids (or will be in the future) that are known to crack polycarbonate so I went with some IBTanked glass tubes when I cracked my original plastic tank, and got some vape bands to sit around the tube to absorb shock from the mod falling over etc. It's definitely not as pretty/elegant as it would be without the bands on there, but on the bright side, I've gone somewhere around a month without breaking my first IBTanked glass -- which is impressive, considering the use/abuse my mods tend to get. It has been knocked over at least 5 times in that time period.

So... it's sort of a "utilitarian" loadout... :)

You can call me a vaping klutz if you like... but I try to prepare for that with what I carry out on the road with me.

Hi Tony,
Left handed wrap doesn't work with right handed threads, although I found 6-32 left handed threaded machine screw, honestly I wrap a better coil upside down. Pity, it cost me about $20! Maybe I just got used to my particular technique...I DID find some 6-48 fine threaded gun sight 3/4" length screws on ebay, make a beautiful coil...12 for around $5.
