Hey qorax. I'm a clearomizer person. Never tried an rba, ever. I just bought this. I expect to fail a lot but I'm thankful for all your tips and images throughout this thread.

CONGRATS buddy! Especially for taking the leap - and choosing the right platform to hone your skills - b'coz the Erlk is a far better and easier rba to deal with.

And in any case pls feel free to fall back on this thread whenever in trouble ~ we all are always here to assist you!

Mate of mine has some skills, but the wicking on this looks pretty unique. Rayon the best choice here?

Also, I use vg heavy juices. 70-80%. Have anyone tried that with this guy ?

Q - have you had to do much height adjustsments to your coil after installing? I *think* I remember you mentioning it at some point in the thread, but didn't find it with a quick search.

No, I didn't do any height 'adjustments'. My coil remains in line with the wick channels. Same level. That's one of the USPs of this atty ~ you can plonk your coiling tool (eg. drill bit) right on the channels and attach your coil legs to the terminals. Makes rebuilding a lot easier.

Must be a gator issue :) Sorry but you left yourself wide open for that, had to take the layup.

It's really easy, I think the trick is to get the drip tip tight then unscrew the whole top piece so the chimney is unscrewing too, and make sure you push the tank down so it goes with the top...the overly winded posts below were literally after my first and second times doing it. I barely think about it now, just look at what your doing.

Gator issue eh?

Can't deny it. Ya got me. :D

Although it can be done, being the n00b that I am, I think I'll stick with emptying the tank with a syringe for now. I just don't want to take the chance of a huge mess. Besides, once I become proficient with wicking the Erl, there really shouldn't be a need to rebuild with anything in the tank.

Agreed. By far, this is the simplest RTA I have ever mounted a coil on. I have made perfect coils before only to screw them up when mounting them on my KF's.

S U C C E S S ! ! !

Thanks to all the helpful people and information provided I got The Queen wicked correctly. And man oh man! Does it ever vape great! Actually, better than I thought it would. I can't believe the flavor out of this thing. Awesome! Simply awesome. Quite a nice cloud to go along with it as well. Who could ask for more?

I'm certain that using the triangle cut on the wick corrected my problem so huge thanks to sedge for those images.

Anyway, I said I would post some pix of my build so here they are. Sorry about the quality as I took them with my phone.

I like bubbles! So glad to see bubbles...

I hadn't really noticed before but after I saw the previous image, I liked how the Erl's tear drops on the chimney matched the Provari's tear drops. So not only a great vape but a good looker as well. Ain't she sexy?

Had about 3/4 tank on this when I started. Down to about 1/3 now. Not a single issue with dry hits or flooding and nary a leak.

Finally! I love my Queen. :D

Again, many, many thanks to all the great people here for your help and assistance. :toast:

Schweeeet!!! congrats.
Look forward to hearing about your experiences with the squapeR as well and comparisons. Do we have other folks on ECF with both? I'll likely pick up a second ErlK and a nano kit when the nano comes out unless something else peaks my interest enough.

Likewise. I'll grab one more with the Erlk Mini kit as well ;)

Congrats Jax on the great build and hope you enjoy....looks like Q has some competition...your vaping now!

Thanks man! I am really loving it. I am rather shocked at how much the flavor just kind of kicked me in the mouth. That could also be that I just couldn't wick my KF's for .....

Competition for Q? Man, you are funny.

Schweeeet!!! congrats.

Got the SQuape R built about an hour ago. I really shouldn't comment that much about a comparison as I'd like to at least run through a tank or two in both to make any informed comments.

I will say this -

The Squape R has quite a bit larger tank and of course, quite a bit heavier. That's a given based on build materials.

Filling goes to the Erl. Although the SQuape R really wasn't that hard or messy for me, it's just much easier on the Erl.

AFC adjustment goes to the SQuape R. I like not having to remove the tank for adjustments.

Both were very easy to rebuild coils on but the Squape R was way easier to wick. For me anyway. For the wick on the SQuape R you just put the wick through the coil and snip the ends off next to the base. Wet with juice and it's good to go. I wicked the SQuape R on the first try, where as it took me three tries and some help from you all on the Erl. But then again, I am still a n00b. I'm sure I'll re-wick the Erl next time on the first try as I am now familiar with the proper technique. I've recently got an authentic R91 as well that I am going to use the triangle cut method with and am hoping for better results than the clones I have been using.

I don't really want to comment on the air flow on the two models just yet as I need to mess around with the AFC's for a tank or two. I will say this, I started the SQuape R on the thrid from largest hole and by my sixth or seventh vape, I had it just one hole below the hole from fully open. As I mentioned before, I like an airy draw. I'm on my second tank with the Erl and opening it up a bit more. We'll see just how far she'll let me go.

No doubt, they are both high quality RTA's. I am really enjoying both atm. I think I might try a Blu next. You know? Just to see how it compares. :D

WAE:
Length: depends on the battery size: min=113mm max=114.5mm
Diameter: 21 mm

Provari:
4.1" (104.14mm) L x 0.90" (22.86mm) D (stock 18500 battery version) (without atomizer)

4.6" (116.84mm) L x 0.90" (22.86mm) D (with 18650 extension) (without atomizer)

So, slightly shorter/narrower than a Provari set up with an 18650, slightly taller/narrower than other Provari setups.

I adjust the afc on the Erl while its off the mod.

I'm enjoying the Squape Reloaded very much. I like the Erl a bit better. I've had some flodding and leaking on the Squape when it gets low. I'll figure it out. I think flavor is slightly muted too.

I've never had any issues with Erl.

I think the WAE2 sounds like a good size for me...love the size of my provari so I think this should be perfect....now I need a wrap for it to protect it...anyone have any suggestions?
