Thanks man! It's just experience is all. Well, that and I have to confess, I use a coil winder. Specifically, this: Artistic Wire Coiling Gizmo. I got mine at a local Hobby Lobby but they can be had on amazon or ebay as well.

I find that in order to reach the minimum ohm threshold (.10), the 3mm rod works best. I use tension and wrap each coil as close to its neighbor without touching. Once complete, I use my fingertips and compress the coil as much as possible and it springs back fairly evenly. It's actually quite easy. I only use twisted because rayon requires more in the coil than cotton and found that I was destroying single strand coils. Twisting tempers the wire to an extent.

As NOVA jon said, a machine screw does wonders as well.

I'd be happy to do builds for anybody but yeah, we're about as far apart in the lower 48 as we could be.

Although I do like those shots, this has to be my current favorite coil porn...

The Zero is not as big as you think in person, it's about the size of a VS rDNA. That SX zero is awesome, you don't see the SX with the removable sleeves too often.

This is a mini hana clone (72mm high) that had to be milled to fit a 18650 and there is nothing smaller out there with this battery and yet look how big it appears in my small hands:

Kinda explains why I'm so good in tight places

A vs is very close to a ft mini hana. I was getting worried I had some kind of birth defect but ok.

Can't wait to get my hands on a zero with a 350J chip. The clone obviously, I'm poor.

Is that an SOV tip on yer ErlK? Particularly the SS2 WideBore? I've been eyeing that one as a decent short tip top for my ErlK's adapter and as yet was too unsure to yet again roll the dice on another possible DT failure...

My only question is that the open draw positive post looks exactly like the one that it came with. So either it shipped with the open draw post, or they sent me a second regular post (though the bag it came in said 2mm open draw on it)

Regardless, excited to build this tonight and try it out!

Then I'm guessing that I got lucky and there was an open draw post already installed. They are the same size! I'll take some better measurements, but I'm not going to argue!

Out of curiosity, what is the measurements on the standard post?

You ordered from the Erlk website? I'm on there and don't see an open draw post anywhere.
