So id never had a prob with my erlk. Taste was great and easy setup. The other day it started leaking terrible. I stuffed the channels and that stopped it. Today I built it agan and its leaking worse. I noticed that there is a small crack in the lip of the tank. Most likely from over tightening. Could this be the culprit?

The leak is from the afc

It must be from the crack in the lip of the tank. I still have the same set of orings on mine, and have used it forever. That being said I soak the parts in a solo cup so nothing ends up down the drain. If all your orings are there that crack would certainly sound like the culprit. My Erlkoenigin was some of the best vape money I ever spent.

Non communication is never acceptable and hope your issue gets resolved.

On a side note my device is still in regular rotation and no issues to report.

Thanks Todd really appreciate your comments, and also very happy yours was without issue. It may be some slight variation in the machining or something. I took a look at the switch and the design looks flawless. Doubt anyone's will have any future issues if it is working well when received. Glad you came around on "Bob" as well. It has been a pleasure to watch.:)

I am in the same boat as Newportlocal. My Thron hasn't fired properly since receiving it. It will fire but it requires excessive pressure. I pretty much have to use 2 hands to get it to fire properly and that's just unacceptable.

I'm also a big fan of the Erlkonigin. It is one of my top performing attys and will always be in my rotation. At this point, the Erlthron? Not so much. I really love the looks of the mod but that's all I can do with it is look at it because it is not functional.

I certainly hope that the guys and gals at Erlkonigin take care of this issue for both of us Newportlocal.

I just got mine a few days ago and that too was very very stiff and wouldn't fire single handed. However with constant use its a lot more easy now and can comfortably do fire with one hand no issues. Mine is a nano thron though.
Hope you two get it sorted asap.
Have to agree the customer service is poor as I've sent numerous emails to them too before i purchased mine with still no response.
Just happy i got my kit though! Just waiting on some accessories now...

Mine takes considerably more pressure than I would like as well. I kept working at using it as I rotated it to try an alleviate that, but unfortunately there were some spots that wouldn't fire at all under any amount of force. As I rotated it one spot gave great vapor, other spots subpar vapor, and some spots no vapor at all. I could mark the one spot it gives good vapor at, but that doesn't seem right. It does look great, but I need it to work properly. Looking at some of the video reviews I can tell that others are working with less force and firing properly from a press at any portion of the circle. I have positive thoughts that this will be resolved for us. I really do want to love it, and use my Erlkoenigin everyday. I hope Jaxgator gets help as well.

The Erlthron Switch

Going by the issues faced by some let me tell you that even mine was stiff when it came in. Tho I never needed two hands to fire it - but it was a tough job. There are two things at play here:

1) It needs to get 'used to', AND
2) It needs a 'break in'.

The switch is different, that's right, and we have never used anything like it before. Besides, the cross section of that 'switch plate' is pretty uncomfortable to press with a single finger or thumb being thin and at the bottom most point of a tube.

The stiffness nonetheless gets slightly softened out within a day or two and gets all the more smoother eventually. Mine's have. However, the issues faced by Newport and Jax definitely construes a problem, which doesn't seem generic (b'coz many are having no issues it seems over the EU forums) BUT whoever has an issue - needs an immediate rectification by the makers. And I am perturbed too b'coz my PM to them re: these two member's problems haven't been replied as well by Erlk Team :(

I have been working my switch to get it to "break in" and although it is a little better, it is still requiring too much pressure imo.

I just attempted to disassemble the switch using an Allen wrench on the bottom and a Phillips screwdriver on the other side. I couldn't get it to budge. I'm thinking that (in my case at least) the switch was assembled too tightly. It sure feels like something is binding.

Did you attempt to disassemble your switch Newportlocal?

Yes, I took mine apart easily. I used a torx and a Phillips. Thought perhaps there might be a loose piece of metal etc. I cleaned it and put it back together in hopes of rectifying the situation. There was one portion I didn't take apart that looks like it is made as one piece with ball bearings and the battery contact. Like I said seems like a flawless design for how the switch contacts when pressed. Can't for the life of me figure out the issue. It may just be some slight variance in machining tolerances or something slightly off center. Wish I could have resolved it myself.

I follow this thread because I like the Erlk company and always root for a small boutique company offering specialized product. You members here are some of the most knowledgable and helpful too. I just wanted to say I hope the Erthron issue gets resolved, it's a fine looking mech.

Thank you for your thoughtful comments. I agree it does look excellent. I am still rooting for Erlkoenigin, and I am optimistic that they will remedy this for us. I find it uncomfortable bringing it to the public level, but I had already made attempts to communicate directly. I am extremely grateful it was well received and supported by others here. The Erlkoenigin is flawless, and hopefully this is just new product launch growing pains on the Erlthron and will be resolved shortly.

Unsure if you can see in the pics but just below the top fill port cap i get a bit of juice going all the way around. Anyone know why that is or how i can stop it?
Did take it apart and clean it but it comes back again? Unsure if it leaks leaks though...It's just a tiny bit.

So here I am, trying to take a picture of my mod with my phone without the usual blur and suddently the camera app goes berserk and does this:

The background is actually grey/brown and the mod is dark grey... I have no clue on what happen here but it looks kinda cool (pun intended)...

It's my erlprinz so I decided to put the pic here :)

Tony

Only things I can think of is once in a while my tank isn't on there totally snug. I grab the tank and push it towards the deck and then screw the top cap snug. You can also get a tiny bit of juice between the two top cap pieces when filling. A piece of paper towel to wipe right after filling will fix that. Least likely scenario is your top oring not being lined up, but doubt it is that. Last thought I use thin tipped LDPE bottles to fill. Some probably use a syringe. That being said I think a standard glass dropper that comes with many juice bottles would probably spill some between the two top pieces when filling. Hope my thoughts help your situation.

Shouldn't be an issue to using an LDPE bottle it is my preference actually, but I have seen a variety of different bottle tips on them. I use ones with tips like this. I have seen other stubby or fatter tips. You can get these in a variety of places. They are similar to the old Nicoticket style bottles.

Still waiting for a response on the Erlthron, but staying positive that it will work itself out.:)

Yeaa my tips are a bit stubbier than this...So guess some leaks in between them.
Just cleaned it all up, looks like it was just from filling with that bottle :)

It will, either way they will have to honour the 14days. I'm sure they are not unreasonable.

If you count the order date and shipping time following over a weekend I am down to the wire I ordered on the 18th and got it on the 23rd because of the weekend. This next Tuesday could be considered 14 days from the ordering date. i was really hoping to hear back last week from them. I really don't want to go through the whole refund thing and paying to ship it back because it had issues. I just want it to work properly as anyone would. Hopefully the extra attention from Qorax and Todd helps me resolve this. I appreciate all the support I have gotten. It think at this point I should hear something by late Monday fingers crossed.:)
