I have received an email today stating that on Monday (!) I can expect contact to discuss/resolve this issue. We'll see.

It would be good to see i2r correct its salesmanship problems. Nothing kills a great product and company faster than poor salesmanship. Even if they decide to concentrate solely on the dealer channel it won't solve their problems. They need to remember that dealers are also customers who have even more at stake.

Sounds positive. I am sure they will contact you. On their time zone it is Friday at 11:00 p.m.
Keep the faith you have Q on your side.:)

Odd just looked at intaste. They had the things you listed. I went to the intaste english version and the rebuildable tab, then erlkonigin tab. Screen shot.

Thanks! I was all over that site and didn't see any. And yes, my translation had to be reactivated constantly. About the only German I understand is, "ja"

Got an ErlprinZ to compare to my Erlkoenigin and to have another tank for flavor rotations, and an open draw post for the Erlkoenigin.

I'm considering an Erlprinz or an Erlkoenigin. Could you post your findings on the difference in vape/build quality between the two when you get a chance? I'm just not sure if getting the authentic is worth 3 times as much. Thanks!

They both vape exactly the same. When the 'open draw pos pole' is installed on the ErlK that is. B'coz the ErlP's air channel is already 2mm.

Besides that everything else is cosmetic:
1) Glass blasted finishing on the ErlK
2) Better build, materials and tolerances
3) The wedge and notch on the top cap combo (makes life easier)
4) ErlK is Serialized

Plus: There's the availability of spare parts for the ErlK.....Not so for the PrinZ. Which reminds me: Anyone know if the positive screws of the two are interchangeable?
My PrinZ's are nearing complete strippedness on the hex heads.
It's just a 2mm screw. You can find them everywhere (especially hobby shops). If too long, just cut to size. :)

I had an incredibly busy weekend. I will build it today and let you know my thoughts. That being said I am very happy I have an Erlkonigin. I have spent a lot of vape money that was a disappointment. I have sold and PIF'd lots of gear that people said were the end all be all of Vaping. My Erlkonigin has been in daily use since I got it. Coming up on a year fairly soon. It is my absolute favorite gear purchase I have done. Absolutely no regrets on the money I spent on it. Jaxgator started a thread you might like for the reading.

Just replied this to someone on the other thread...

Filling with needle-nosed bottles and inability to build without emptying tank kills Erlkonigin for me. Anyway, it was $5 mod, good to vape, bad to service.
1) You don't need a needle tip bottle to fill the ErlK / ErlP. I do it with just the regular rounded tip bottles. The same way I used to fill my KFLs, direct from any bottle.

2) I have yet to find a need to tinker with my builds midway thru a tank with any of my attys. I thus just don't understand why one has too. However yes, having that option is nice.

The lure of the Erlk has nothing to do with all that for me. I will always love my ErlKs b'coz of:

a) It is 21mm (20mm & 21mm is my type of OD for an 18xxx batt mod)
b) It is feather light (half the weight of a KFL, way lighter than a K4)
c) Has the highest juice capacity in that slim & trim format among all other attys
d) Even the Erlk Nano, which is half the size of most attys - yet holds more juice than them
e) It has the best utilization of space vis-a-vis it's components & capacity amongst all attys

And O' yes, it vapes very well.

What I remember about the blizzard on Mt.Whitney. Being unroped in an ice chute with boulders down in the bottom just using crampons and an ice axe. A roped team was in the same area. They asked what I was doing. I said I was having fun. Asked them what they were doing. They said training for Everest. A little farther up it got really cold combined with the altitude I started getting really tired. I sat on a rock for a minute and didn't even want to move. I realized guys on Everest that just fall asleep on the mountain it was painless for them like stories like Into Thin Air,etc. that night I wondered if I would make it through the morning after I set up my tent. It cleared and was good weather when I got up. Coming down the mountain the next day. I made a few wrong turns you couldn't find any trail it was all snow covered so I would have to backtrack spots. I knew if I did it again I would do GPS marks along the way to follow back.

In the florida keys I did oceanography at Sea Camp on Big Pine Key. S.C.U.B.A.,snorkeling,catching sharks, weighing, measuring, tagging, and releasing, etc. we would go to Key West to do laundry at the laundry mat. Would love to spend more time down there, and I have never seen sunsets like they have. Lots of stone crab and conch fritters. Sounds like you had a great time there.

Man, you are an adventurous guy! Glad you made it down from the mountain...just to be bitten by a shark? No, just kidding ;)
With high altitude mountaineering, a GPS and/or a GPS-tracker are a very good investment. Glad that I never came close to such a situation even though I live in the middle of the mountains and do a lot of Ski mountaineering in winter.

Oceanography sounds really cool, I'd wished we had more of that topic covered in my study, but coming from a landlocked country, chances were small anyway ;)

Cheers & "Berg Heil" (which is the famous standard phrase/wish here in the Alps when you meet someone up the hills^^. It translates roughly to "Salute the Mountains")

I have to agree, Q.

The Erlk is:

1. Light and compact.
2. Holds an enormous amount of juice. My favorite traveling atty.
3. Most conservative RTA I've had on juice consumption.
4. Great flavor.

I admit I'm going to keep my non logoed, non serialized clone as one of my out and about, barn work attys. It is my favorite travel tank, but I treasure my authentic. I can't help myself. It is one of my "queens", and I would be devastated if it were messed up or lost. I know some won't want to hear that, but for me, this is a major acquisition. The same as keeping my rather old, but still well made saddle for training even after I bought a brand new one for shows. I've always been that way. I'll buy a new pair of Nikes, and the old pair is for barn and yard work. Same with coats, jeans, etc. I will use the old items until they are no longer usable at all. And try to preserve the new item for as long as possible. Don't yell at me about it because I won't change my mind :). I used to leave my wedding and engagement rings in the house when I cleaned stalls or did grunge work, too. My ex husband got upset with me for it, but its how I am.

Yes, I do have several inexpensive authentics, but so far they all have glass tanks. Falling off tractors is detrimental to glass. Yes, I drop them off tractors on a regular basis. I'm clumsy due to neuropathy and the vibration makes my hands totally numb in about 5 minutes.
