I have to agree, Q.

The Erlk is:

1. Light and compact.
2. Holds an enormous amount of juice. My favorite traveling atty.
3. Most conservative RTA I've had on juice consumption.
4. Great flavor.

I admit I'm going to keep my non logoed, non serialized clone as one of my out and about, barn work attys. It is my favorite travel tank, but I treasure my authentic. I can't help myself. It is one of my "queens", and I would be devastated if it were messed up or lost. I know some won't want to hear that, but for me, this is a major acquisition. The same as keeping my rather old, but still well made saddle for training even after I bought a brand new one for shows. I've always been that way. I'll buy a new pair of Nikes, and the old pair is for barn and yard work. Same with coats, jeans, etc. I will use the old items until they are no longer usable at all. And try to preserve the new item for as long as possible. Don't yell at me about it because I won't change my mind :). I used to leave my wedding and engagement rings in the house when I cleaned stalls or did grunge work, too. My ex husband got upset with me for it, but its how I am.

Yes, I do have several inexpensive authentics, but so far they all have glass tanks. Falling off tractors is detrimental to glass. Yes, I drop them off tractors on a regular basis. I'm clumsy due to neuropathy and the vibration makes my hands totally numb in about 5 minutes.
I'm curious Roxy. To help keep hold of your devices when on a tractor, has the idea of some sort of harness crossed your mind? Perhaps a piece of Velcro on the device and a glove or something around your hand that would snag the Velcro?

Man, you are an adventurous guy! Glad you made it down from the mountain...just to be bitten by a shark? No, just kidding ;)
With high altitude mountaineering, a GPS and/or a GPS-tracker are a very good investment. Glad that I never came close to such a situation even though I live in the middle of the mountains and do a lot of Ski mountaineering in winter.

Oceanography sounds really cool, I'd wished we had more of that topic covered in my study, but coming from a landlocked country, chances were small anyway ;)

Cheers & "Berg Heil" (which is the famous standard phrase/wish here in the Alps when you meet someone up the hills^^. It translates roughly to "Salute the Mountains")

CH

Ironically the shark bit story is another one all together. I was on Andros in the Bahamas. There was a spotted grouper I was trying to spear under a coral head. I would take a breath. Dive down the 20 or so feet and hit it with a hawaiian sling that had interchangeable heads, I had a standard spear gun tip on it. For some reason it wasn't going through its skin. I tried a few times. Finally got it for dinner. However the blood in the water and the aggravated fish attracted a big tiger shark. I saw a big shadow coming towards me. I shot up to the boat and made a record time getting in with my eyes bugged out. When I first got to the boat my friend almost jumped out of the boat thinking I wanted help with a fish until he saw the look on my face. Right after I got in the boat the Tiger shark banged the side of the boat. It had followed me up. I have pet big Nurse sharks in the water before, but that Tiger shark definitely didn't want to be my friend. It was a close call. I kept diving everyday after that, but was a little edgy on my next few dives.
Love the Berg Heil Salute to the mountains phrase. Absolutely love my time in the mountains. I need to throw on a backpack and get back out there soon. One thing I learned from the Whitney adventure and a backpacking trip in inclement weather. The mountains don't suffer those that are unprepared. It can look lovely and suddenly change to freezing miserable conditions. It isn't out to get people it just does what it does, but it is very important to at the very least have proper clothing and shelter if things change suddenly. Sure is wonderful out there though.:)

Random ErlprinZ thoughts. First it didn't want to be my friend. Ended up unscrewing the positive pole trying to figure out how to open it. My own fault for not watching a video or something first. Had to keep moving the block below to different configurations until it stopped shorting because I am confident it wasn't my builds and the positive pole kept shorting against the negative block. Finally figured that out, but not something anyone else needs to go through. To be fair my original Erlkonigin gave me grief when I got it as well until I added the positive spacer and got a decent connection on the 510. The top cap on the Erlkoenigin stops the top from spinning so it is easier to open and shut the fill holes and helps open up the tank to get to the chimney. That being said the ErlprinZ is a great bang for the buck. The vape quality is excellent. The larger draw is very nice. It is the same build you would do on the Erlkoenigin. I run both my ErlprinZ and Erlkonigin with the AFC off. The ErlprinZ comes with spare screws and orings unlike the more expensive Erlkonigin. I think for me I will buy an Erlkonigin Nano next. That being said the ErlprinZ is a really good value for the money and will definitely be a great addition for rotating flavors with having an additional tank. A warning for those thinking about a clone other than the ErlprinZ. I knew someone who bought a clone. Not sure which maker it was, but the plastic drip tip that came with his imparted a horrible plastic taste that no amount of washing seemed to help. So if you are considering a clone version I think the ErlprinZ is a great option, bang for the buck, and gives a great vape quality.

Qorax, since you spoken to i2r recently, are you aware of any updates regarding any optional extras for the erlthron?
Need a deluxe tube and regular cage...
Have emailed them a few times to no response...

It would certainly be nice if over time they had a parts section for their Erlthrons similar to the parts available in their Erlkoenigin parts and tuning sections.

Quicker responses to customer service inquiries would also be nice. Seems to be the #1 ongoing complaint with i2r, because their actual products definitely aren't lacking in any area

Agree. We are on almost opposite time zones, but it would be nice to get a response back from them on their next business day in their time zone.

I have a leather case that loops around a belt that came with my Sigelei 100W. All my box mods fit in it. I do still drop things when I vape though. I can't deal with a lanyard because things are, well, bouncing around the mountains shall we say?

The clone I was given is luckily very nice. Never had a problem with it, but, yes, a lot of them are pretty crummy. I had been holding back, waiting on reports of the Erlprinz when someone asked me if I wanted his clone. He had lost a lot of expensive juice learning to wick it, and didn't want to use it anymore. I loved it, and when I realized that was his reason for giving it up, sent him a different atty, which he did enjoy, and then he bought an authentic of that instead.

Well, I like my mods smaller and regulated but each one to his own I guess.

Anything taller than 75mm for a 18650 just seem waste of space.

Tony

Sent from my keyboard through my phone or something like that.

In my case anything wider than 22mm seems like a distorted gizmo to be taken to the lips :D I like them tubed - and thinner the better, like this:

Ah OK. I used to be a tube fan myself but I'm also a regulated mod fan so my tubes were just too long to have both. Once I tried a small box mod, I was sold.

I should get a pic of my evic supreme 18650 next to my mini hana (18650)...

I think that would be self explanatory :)
