Unlike most rebuildable atomizers the Fatty V2 does not have posts for attaching the coil to.
The coil is secured right to the bottom of the atomizer.
Vertical coils are not possible and the only thing keeping the coil/wick from laying on the bottom are the legs of the coil.
I've seen a YouTube video showing the Fatty V2 with a terminal post upgrade but no information on the upgrade.
Any advice, pictures or recommended YouTube videos from others having experience with the Fatty V2 would be appreciated.

I start with 3 mm wick and 32 ga wire, first wrap wire around center post clockwise and tighten screw. Take a needle and the wick and hold so the wire goes over the top and wrap the coil counterclockwise . It helps if you hold the needle and wick upward at an angle. Your last wrap of the coil will be around the bottom of the wick which can now be connected to the ground or outter screw. I then remove the needle and adjust the coil by prying it up so it's not touching the bottom. Maybe 1 mm gap. I trim the wick about 1/2 inch each side of the coil so it lays on the bottom. I have tried the juice catcher and I cannot endorse this method. Put the cap on so holes are across from coil. Maybe 6 drops to start and a short breakin vape. This atty works so well I must have more. Looking at the fatty clone I can't tell if the bottom is concaved and until someone can verify this I won't buy. If someone knows please post in this thread . Thanks in advance. Hope this helps, good luck and try not to stab yourself with the needle.

The clone I have is not concave...:(. Hope that helps.

The bottom of the clone is flat, or at least basically flat, hard for these old eyes to tell exactly. Actually the entire unit is very similar to the V2 with just some minor exceptions, both pro and con.

Rather than a slip on, 2 o-ring body the clone screws onto the base with a single o-ring at the bottom. Instead of hex nuts for the neg and pos connections it uses phillips screws with an extra one to run a dual coil.

Instead of a large nut style with machined flats for the air control the clone uses a knurled ring but other than that the system incorporates the same 3 holes and works the same way.

It probably goes without saying that the build quality is not on par with the V2 but there certainly isn't enough difference to justify spending $80 plus over less than $20.

I have a V2 which I've been using for a while now and 3 clones that I got a week or so ago on the co-op for around $4.00 each and if you use comparable wick/coil setups and close your eyes you really can't tell the difference between them.

If you're a dripper you really can't go wrong with the clone, especially for the price.

When they start building them in an ERA model for bottom feeders there'll be no need to scour the earth and recycle beer cans for an ERA, these would be just as good... even better if they incorporated the air control system.

(I'd rather they use flat head screws instead of pan head screws but they really haven't presented any problems so far.)

Anybody know where I can get a replacement insulator for the positive post? My idiot self thought it would be a great idea to torch the wicks to clean them instead of just wrapping a new coil and wick. My wick and coil were cleaned but in the process I ended up melting the plastic insulator. I now have a useless atty. fantastic
