    I got this one: www.amazon.com/dp/B00KDPI8Z6/
It has a built-in lock, but the "key" isn't unique. It's really just an Allen key, but with 5 points on it instead of 6. Should be good enough to keep small children out of it though, if that's your concern.

I live in an apartment building. My family owns it but I need to keep adults out too, lest they be poking around. I see a few small freezers, that are lockable, and drainable in case something happens to the contents, that get down to -25F or better so I think I'm going to shoot for that for long term storage. Whatever I buy will be based on what I make...so time will tell.

Roxy feels the same way. I've tried to warn people to be prepared. I've been called Chicken Little 3x. Some told me I'm full of crap. Some said they don't care.

Haleysdadda, I seem to recall you're telling me my "ECF guru" thing should be taken away for telling people they need more than one atty ;). Still feel that way?

I've been preparing for nearly 2 years now. Little by little, based on my income. Now when I croak, then you guys can descend like vultures. My family won't want my gear.
That was a long time ago! Can't remember exact wording but that's close! But I've learned to respect you for the vaping Goddess you are!:wub::wub::wub::wub::hubba::hubba::hubba::hubba::hubba::hubba::hubba:

I'm only 40. Since I quit the death sticks, I'm hoping I may see 80, and I don't believe there is any gear out there that won't wear out before then. I AM going to start buying some components to make my own mods after the 1st of the year, but machining attys is beyond my current skill set. Electrical, plumbing, carpentry, cabinet making - check. Machining metal, no. And the tools are prohibitively expensive. :(

True with steel, but aluminum can easily be machined with most woodworking equipment if you go slow and use a cutting fluid of some kind. Clamp it down tight, wear eye protection and be careful!

Was first introduced to this in the 70s. Machine shop class and was astounded they were cutting chunks off a full sheet of 2" thick aluminum with an ordinary carpenters 'skill' saw. Carbide tooth blade and (IIRC) soft wax (comes in a tube and is called stick wax) as the lubricant.

The simple fact is, no politician, in his right mind, will propose 'across the board' tax increases. It's usually political suicide. But faced with budget deficits, whether they be Federal, State, or Local, the next option is 'sin taxes', whether it's alcohol, gambling, smoking, or whatever else is looked upon by political leaders as 'sin'. It's low hanging fruit. Right now, e-cigs are the most obvious. All of the other sins have already fallen under the Sin Tax hammer. If only 18% of the population smokes, 82% of the population doesn't care. If 4% of the population vapes, 96% of the population, smokers and non smokers alike, don't care.
I basically agree but 4% vapes + whatever the % that love us and are happy that we're not smoking.

There is also a small percentage of people (that don't vape or have vaping loved ones) that are pro vaping just because they understand that vaping isn't smoking and is probably hundreds of times safer.

Still a less than significant percentage.

    Exactly on both counts.

I ordered my first liter of 100mg nic on 12/31/13, just about two weeks after I quit smoking without really intending to. My attitude then, as now: "Nobody is taking this miracle away from me!"

My family has no use for any of my vape-stuff either, so when I croak, y'all are welcome to it. But if you come for it before them, well... Let's just say that would get ugly, fast.

So All that Stuff you Posted was Based on what you Know will not Happen?

    OK.

Ziod you can yuck it up all you want. You are avoiding the issues I bring up by being contrary
for contraries sake. You and I have been following this thread from the start. You and I have
followed many posts from start to finish. For you to pretend you haven't a clue to what I have
been trying to say is quite frankly insulting and at the very least disingenuous.
If in fact you have something to add, please do.

Yeah, let's put it this way...my uncle said my dog is scarier than the 2 gangbangers who shot him in the face.

I also have items that go bang.

My husband has one of those bang sticks too, and has been stocking up on buckshot and slugs -- so to echo what Rossum* said earlier, as regards the FDA or anyone else trying to get my nicotine or mods... "Molon Labe!" :D

Not really. One cubic foot equals 28 liters. My wife's chest freezer is 25 cubic feet. My little under-counter freezer is 2.1 cubic feet. Now of course, you're not gonna fit 28 actual liters of nic in round bottles in a 1 cubic foot foot of space, even but if you figure 2/3 wasted space (which is probably on the high side) due to packaging inefficiency, I figure can still fit 15+ liters in that little freezer.
    Food's overrated :)
    Here's 9+ liters in mostly 250ml bottles plus some 130's & 60s
I can fit another 2 liters or so here before considering an additional freezer.
I'll get another 8 liters when the whip comes down before we hear it crack.

Avoiding what Issues that you Bring Up? The ones that are Based on things that Aren't going to Happen?

Sorry Mike, I'd Rather spend my time Talking about things that Could Happen. Than to do a Back-n-Forth Debate about things that Aren't going to happen.

You are completely avoiding the issue. You are deliberately misunderstanding what I have been saying.
To refresh your memory what I said was if vaping is allowed to more or less to continue as it is right
now it will not not be a viable source of taxation = revenue stream for all the obvious reasons I have
cited but you ignore. I have also said this is the reason the FDA will not allow vaping to exist in its
    present form,thus the deeming reg.'s.
Again if you want to add or detract from this conversation please do so.
Why you think you can treat me as if I were a petulant child i beyond me.
anyway have a happy new year.

Even those in charge of the deeming don't really know anything ;)

We are all just frustrated that what we know doesn't mean diddly squat to those who have our lives in their hands. As this keeps dragging on, tension between ourselves just keep getting higher.

Try to not let it get personal... K? Not just singling out zoid, this goes to everyone. ;)

I think they're all not that smart because this is just going to wake up more people to everything else the government is doing now that it is directly affecting them.

Right. You read about stuff all the time, them picking on this group or that group, and you think, that doesn't seem right. But it's not you, or your family, or members of your political tribe, or whatever. When it hits you personally that makes it real.

I work in group homes where people will take out a bag of frozen French fries and eat them until they throw up. I've put locks on dozens of fridges and freezers. All it takes is a small hasp and a padlock, use short metal screws. Won't stop a burglar or an FDA swat team but good enough for kids.

He & his wife were completely unaware of new regulation or any wrong doing, they simply ordered their usual supply from their normal vendor.

Actually he did say the notification stated act something or other and in parentheses behind it SB978.
    ACT xxxx (SB978).
The conversation about the confiscation was brief, I didn't remember the act number he told me & didn’t want to guess / post something I wasn't sure of so I used the SB due to being familiar with it.
There was no mention of any fine or punishment. Just, we took your stuff becuz...

    Thanks for the correction :thumb:.

Someone from Canada said all their packages were inspected now. Once they get you on the list it's all over.

This one could have been a broken bottle or a package that was torn open in the machinery or something.

I've just Never had much respect for WHO or their "Policy Decisions".

    And I don't think I am Alone.

I believe they were created to coordinate international response to Ebola type situations which is fine I guess, but like any bureaucracy they just had to grow and grow.
