Two weeks ago, I thought we had eight months left. Now I hear the rumblings of an avalanche.

We've got flavor bans in some states and outright bans of all vapor products in others. I don't really understand why this is happening now with the FDA dooming date imminent anyway. The only way it makes sense is if I put on my tin foil hat. Kill off the vape shops now with state-lever "emergency" orders that completely bypass the normal regulatory or legislative process, and there won't be any industry left by the time the FDA does its thing, so the FDA won't get the blame for killing it?

Then there's the fact that the media seems to hate vaping almost as much as they hate the Donald.

If you're not ready yet, don't put it off any longer. The poop could hit the ventilator where you live with no notice at all (see Massachusetts today and watch Rhode Island tomorrow).

The Governor of MA (an R by the way) put a 4 month ban on ALL ecig sales today

Does this mean online buys too? What about buying something from Fasttech? I noticed they put just "Electronics" on their packages that have mods or tanks inside.

Or is it a total ban from anyone worldwide shipping to your address?

Because I've been expecting something like this happening. If one state gets away with something then the next state is going to try to one-up them and on and on.

The question with any "law" is how enforceable it is. It's pretty straightforward for a governor to send men in spiffy uniforms with guns on their hips to close down retail storefronts within his state. It's far more difficult for him to intervene in small shipments of "electronics" from China.

I think you are spot on.
Edited: My comment was off topic. :)

Do you think they see an opportunity to protect their ability to repay tobacco bond debt?
I suppose that's part of it. Are they really desperate enough to do that themselves now, at the risk of considerable ire to themselves, when they could have just waited another 8 months and let the FDA take the blame?

There will be a lot of unhappy vapers in places like Massachusetts soon.

I've also noticed a lot more talk over the last few days about PG/VG being bad and coating lungs and no one knows what heating these chemicals up to high temperatures and inhaling the vapor does to people etc etc. I think they are trying to figure out the groundwork for attacking the DIYers also.

Will it be hard to do? Yes but probably not impossible.

Well  I had edited thinking my comment/question was off topic, but was very curious as to your opinion regarding that.... your reply was quicker than my edit.
I have no clue, I was just mulling it over and wondered what your thoughts were.
I was looking over the list of states with substantial debt, so far it seems those with a lot are first in line to ban.

MikePetro has done extensive heat tests with a warning to those vaping at 80+ watts ( if memory serves). PG is used in inhalers

safe distance from a black hole
6 mg yesterday
Thats a significant step down actually.
Do you DIY or buy premade?

I tried the same step down a while ago, 6mg to 3mg, and after a week or so it wasnt working out for me. I made some 4mg and that became my new high mg at the time. I think I went to 3.5mg as my next step down some time after that
Im pretty happy at 3mg now and use about 2ml a day but I also use 2ml of 0mg.
I have always under estimated the hand to mouth, inhale, exhale part of the habit and now Im down to where Im at its kinda been high lighted as a big part of my habit.

Im not trying to quit nic or vaping but I am interested in exploring dosage parameters and how they affect me.
A side effect of the messing around with dosage and my own tolerance to nic is where I would use a liter of 100mg nic base in 6yrs I would now use the same amount in 45years.

Sorry for the ramble. Im interested in other peoples experiences of dropping mg's. The topic interests me more than any other aspect of vaping at the moment. Im stuck in a loop with it :)

I DIY and don't buy store eliquids. No nic cravings at all when stepping down to 3mg. I use around 10mL per day. The hand-to-mouth + inhale/exhale behavior is the hardest part for me to quit also.

Several warnings, most on older hardware. Basically if you keep your vape down around 450f you are in good shape. For more detail read my Blogs where I tested actual attys while I actually vaped them under real life conditions.

I dropped from 18 to 12 once and it was a nightmare. I didn't DIY then so I went through a week of hell waiting for more 18 to arrive. A couple of years later I got down to 12 no problem. Sometimes you're ready, sometimes you ain't.
