My wife's got that covered. Worst case, I could use toilet paper.I needed to build up my stash of paper towels.
It's so hard to know how much is enough.

This is the one that rattles, right?

Ah, but I've only been vaping for sixteen months, and for seven of those I used Halo G6s. Sure, I've been buying up a storm since November, but figuring out what will be enough for twenty or even thirty years is a challenge.I go by what I have used and what has died over the last 10 years. I think most will work for many more years so I know I am more than covered. Heck, I still have Ego's from 9 years ago that are working fine.
It's because of the ball contact switch. If anyone ever clones them, I'm sure that they will use a quieter (and cheaper) switch. ThunderHead Creations saw the writing on the wall, and made a deal with Bushwick to manufacture mods for them. I can't compare them to T H C's $300 or so American made authentics, since I'll probably never touch one. But I bought one of the first mechs that they had Bushwick make. This is the one that rattles, right?
According to Grim Green, the switch was revised to rattle less. The AliExpress deal seems to be for the original, rattly one. Still worth it, for the price. I paid about $30 for it, but I wouldn't have been disappointed if I had paid three times as much. In fact, I paid more than that for an authentic 4 Nine. They have very similar switch mechanisms, but the 4 Nine sticks once in a while, even after I smoothed up the button. On the other hand, the T H C's switch has never stuck, and is also easier to press in the first place.
So I'll buy the Max for $45. If nothing else, I'll at least have another authentic in my collection.
Yup, I'm focusing more on attys right now. I figure RDAs are likely to last longer than RTAs, so I'm also trying to build up a supply of mech squonkers.I have long wondered about why we tend to focus on mods, when atties are arguably way more important. I could make my own mechs with stuff I have around the house. I don't think that atties would be as easy to make. But there's no vaping with just mechs and no atties. Thus my current focus on RTA's. And I'll still end up buying at least a couple of mods along the way.
I wondered if it would be more advantageous to buy some DNA boards. Thinking the DNA75 boards would be fairly inexpensive. A matter of replacing them in the mods from there and that is highly "depends on the mod" sort of thing.i want to buy a few extra DNA75, and some vt510
I currently have 2 spare boards, 3 x 510, but want more for spares

I hate soldering!A while back, I got ten DNA 75's with screens for $110. Those and a rebuildable squonker is my plan. I bought several squonking RDA's. Now if I could soldier, I'd be in business.

Or buy an enclosure kit. Make the whole thing from scratch. That way you don't have to unsolder the failed board to fix up the old mod. Then it depends how much you're willing to pay on the box. A basic box isn't expensive, and you can buy a quality 510 connector that's of better quality than on many consumer level mods.
