The ends are a nice tight fit, just a small screw to keep the spring from pushing the ends off is all you need.

Copper polishes up surprisingly easy, then hit it with a clear coat and it will keep looking pretty.

Excluding the battery, this is about a $6 project.

Thank you.
I've got the pipe and its cut to rough size, I've got the end caps, I've got the batteries.
I'm working on how to make the positive connection (I assume the body is the neg connection). I'd like to integrate the switch and connection into the end cap if I can.

Would you mind sharing how you made your positive connection?

Thanks
John

Crude but effective diagram....
Pos. Terminal retainer is just a thin section if copper pipe. Cut a piece out of it so it fits snugly inside the tube. Position it where you like, and sweat solder it in place.

The isolator will now rest against this allowing ample room above it for wiring and switch.
I made the isolator out of an old junk screwdriver handle. Ground it down to the correct circumfrence to fit in the tube, then lopped of a section with a hack saw. Insert brass screw in the center, and your done.

I hope you didn't take what I said as a criticism. I'm a lot like you.
In programming (which I do) "elegant" is used to mean something simple that gets the job done. Like doing what one program does using 100 lines of code and doing it with 3 lines would be an elegant solution.
Sorry if I offended you, remember "Imitation is the highest form of flattery". I'm imitating my ... off! :D

Like a set (2) CR123's?
I had a set of CR2s on order from DE until I saw EskimoRoll's post on the meltdown in his MagnumBox. Scared the piss outta me and I canceled the order!
I'm already starting to think about placing that order again and making a 5+ volt (diode to reduce voltage) "MegaFogLog" Won't last anywhere near as long as the 18650 but man I bet it'd put out some vapor!

PS - I put a fully charged battery in the log last night, have been vaping all day and I just tested the battery and its putting out 3.9 volts

A full day of vaping and still over the rated voltage - that sir is beautiful!

I had an old laptop pack that was junk... I scavenged the 18650's out of it and have been vaping since sat. They are 5 years old and complete JUNK! My DX order has in on the way.... Oh sweet LOG, hold on, salvation is on the way!

A dead 401 atomizer is a perfect 510 adapter.

sweet. ive been debating on ordering a 401 or 402 i just needed one more reason. now that i know i can use the dead pieces to but together frankenstein HA Vaporstein, maybe a good mod name ......... or not. eh but alas i have no dead 401 attys right now.

i guess i could always to go radio shack stand about and hope for creativity to spark, ah even better i can always smoke some creativity* then go to radio shack and try to remenber why i went there in the first place. :D

ha i just have this vision (mild halucination) of the "all spark" from transmormers zapping my 510 into a lil tranformer. i shall call him Vaperon (sounds cool in my head but looks more like a pokemon name when i read it)

---------edit-----------

if i could remove the smell from my ticture then i could .............. haha almost forgot the rules.

the above refrences to creativity and tincture are simply refrences to e-juice (homebrew tobacco and glycerine) and regular hand rolled cigarettes.;):D;)

Sweet. Looks like it would be hell to carry around in your pocket. Now lets see that fog log hang off your lip :)

It's the FOG LOG... not the Dainty Dangler.

An M3 has style and it's easy to park... but it sucks at towing my horse trailer. Now my SuperDuty on the other hand can tow Utah uphill at 95 mph into the wind with the AC on.
Anyone make e-juice that smells like diesel?
