Freemax sent me the Marvos T 80W kit for the purpose of this review.

This kit features the same Marvos DTL pod as the rest of this line, and a modestly sized single-button battery. When I say modest, I don’t mean underpowered. It has plenty of oomph for the coils.

In the box you get:

  • 1x Marvos T 80W Battery

  • 1x Marvos DTL 4.5ml Pod

  • 1x MS Mesh Coil 0.15ohm

  • 1x MS Mesh Coil 0.25ohm

  • 1x Type C Charging Cable

  • 1x Warranty Card

  • 1x Warning Card

  • 1x User Manual

The battery capacity is 3000mAh, which has been more than sufficient for me, even at the highest setting with the 0.15 coil. I’ve yet to run it completely down.

With a single button, it’s very simple to use. Click 5 times to turn on/off, click 3 times to adjust the power setting. The LED light on the fire button will light up red for soft power, blue for medium, and green for strong.

The output wattage is:

soft medium strong

0.15ohm: 60W 70W 80W

0.25ohm: 40W 50W 55W

The Type C charger allows the battery to fully charge in under 2 hours, and the LED will be red when the battery is at 0-33%, blue at 33-67%, and green at 67-100%.

The LED will also indicate if any of the protections have been activated, flashing red 20 times for low voltage, 5 times for short circuit or low resistance, 10 times for time out/circuit protection, and 2 times for high temp protection.

There is a nice texture to the air flow ring, which has two large oval holes. It opens up nice and wide, closes down enough that you could do MTL, if that’s your thing, but it gets a little warm, IMHO, like that. The air is a wee bit whoosh-y but smooth.

The pod holds 4.5 mls and is filled through a bung on the bottom. So far, I have had no leaks, but I have had some condensation. The coil just pushes in, no threads. And the magnets seem to hold it in place fairly well, although this one does seem to occasionally not make contact as well as the other devices in the line. I’m not sure if it’s the pod or the battery, but I do find I need to fiddle with it once in a while.

And the coils, well, I do love me some Freemax coils. Great flavor, long lasting, good choice of ohms that are suitable for this device. And TBH, I always prefer to build my own, but when I’m too busy to be bothered, it’s really nice to just drop one in.

Overall, a great little kit. Is it beautiful? It’s not ugly, it’s nice, but I wouldn’t say beautiful. Will you drool over it? Will you lose sleep until you get one for yourself? I really doubt it. It’s a very basic, kind of plain Jane pod, but it’s very friendly to use, and it’s really grown on me. I love taking it out and about, knowing the juice and battery capacity will hold me over even if I’m out for longer than expected, and it’s reliable enough I haven’t needed a backup. And yet, small enough that it sits very easily in a pocket or on the table.
