I have been doing this a short time as well, and I am amazed that i am breathing better and feeling better so I tell everyone and already one person at my job has gotten one and a few of my personal friends are considering purchasing one as well. I think people always shy away from things that are different because new things are frightening but as soon as you figure out the boogey man in the closet is just an old shirt.. it's not so scary anymore.. I know i'll continue to tell anyone who asks that I do feel a lot better since i haven't been smoking "regular" cigarettes because I think it's great!

Thanks.

I had forgotten how joyous my divorce was.

LOL! took me 3 years to divorce my rat ba$tard 8-o

I have shown my Doctor my device and she is OK with it, she has a smoke allergy and has said after "checking into them" she may recommend them to patients where other traditional methods have failed...pretty positive. I have also talked 5 friends into buying them, so far 3 love it, 2 still smoke analogs a bit...got my son one and he loves it too...

Since I am technically a new member and can't start a thread, I found the closest thing to get this idea in:

I have been using a PV since Dec 28, I still smoke analogs when I am outside-- no clue why I just can't take out the PV, but I will get there.

Having spent many years involved with theatre and clowns. . . I realized that things marketed as props (that simulate behavior) and gag items (that fool your friends-- novelties) come through vendors and customs all the time.

I would imagine that smart stage directors would start using these as a safety measure on sets: fire safety and well being of the employees.

Magicians could use these as well-- and really who isn't an amateur magician or actor? ;)

Just a thought I wanted to share. . .
You may continue now

You've got the right idea, Kmuppet. Market them as novelty items, party and stage stuff to have fun with. That doesn't solve the liquid with nicotine problem, but we can work on that. We need to maintain a mass market for e-cig hardware. Without that mass market, the practice will fold into subculture status -- and never grow as it should.

Good point.. Personally, i quit tobacco cigarettes 2 months ago by using the electronic cigarette, in mean time, i was careful not to addict to the e-cigarette and hold it in my hand 24/7.... I almost controlled the habit... I am into quitting the E-cigarette too.. because my body does not need nicotine that much anymore,,, i am FREE of TOBACCO for 2 months and 80% FREE of Nicotine.. I used a great way to be FREE of cigarette..

You and me both, justtry. You and me both.

Let Big Tobacco and Big Pharma rot.

I would rather cut my own arm off than to give either of those bloodsuckers another thin dime.

One plays the game to get us hooked (plausable deniability) and the other puts out overpriced and innefective "remedies" to quit.

Let 'em both pound sand.

the longer i think about this issue...

a) I dont think that the development can be halted, there is already too many people interested in esmoking. Its something really, really new. Heck, i myself did not know about esmoking two weeks ago!!!!!

The internet will help spreading the word.

Despites laws and BAD agendas, i think there are a few possible scnarios:

*)
NO company will knowingly and actively voluntary want to miss out on this...so "big tobacco" will SOONER OR LATER jump into this market, whether they want or not. P.Morris and whoever will start producing and making their OWN ecigs. <---- any logic speaks for this, otherwise they would be VERY, VERY stupid and literally DIE.

( It would be as absurd as stable-masters revolting and trying to promote horses while someone just invented the car...)

The more people know about esmoking, the more money they will lose. And more and more people WILL know about it every fricking day.

*)
They MIGHT actually impose a "premature" ban. (Needless to say it would be absurd, in ANY sense.) They will conduct testing. "Premature" since it would not be a ban based on facts and tests...but based on a lack of knowledge/tests.

Testing could come to the conclusions:

a) Ecigs are INDEED a 1000x healther alternative ---> dead of cigarettes as we know it.
b) Ecigs are IN FACT as harmful as real ones. Although unlikely (based on preliminary reports)...but possible.

Personally i do of course THINK that a) applies. And i also think that big T and big P is already rotating.....

Two scenarios here:

1) big Tobacco and whatever "big money" agenda will spread lies and will do everything to ban ecigs.

2) big Tobacco will actively join the market and therefore will be a part of bringing esmoking into the mainstream, therefore "legalizing" it.

(2) is more likely, in my opinion. Believe me, i can literally see them sh***g their pants right now. Dont forget that knowledge is power!! The internet can be VERY powerful.
