Nick got back to me.... I'm going to send mine in. The button just isn't right.
Funny, the button worked fine without the JUIS, but I'll mail it off and I'm sure it'll be right as rain when I get it back.

Got my Galileo back just now.
Threw in a couple of batteries and filled the JUIC back up.
The button is certainly better. It's hitting much better now.
The longer I vape with it though......

It still isn't consistent. Don't know if that's just the PV, or the way my pinky finger hits the button.
Sometimes I have to turn it in my hand a little, and other times it takes a second or two to fire.

The juice flow doesn't seem to be right. I'll have to mess with it some more, I believe there are juice and air flow rings that can be adjusted?
I've got it at 6v with a 3.5 ohm 306 atty and get dry hits now and then, and the button will cut out now and then as well.
I find myself taking a few "hits" before I push the button to make sure there is juice in the atty.

The very center part of the button is still a smooth round hole, nothing for the allen wrench to catch on, so I don't what I'll do if I need to clean the button parts.

All in all.... not a bad PV, but I don't think it will be my "go to" on a regular basis.
It's just not consistent enough for me.
Rather disappointed for the price.
The concept is wonderful, but I don't feel the workmanship is very good quality.
Nothing against Goodejuice, they didn't make it, and Nick was extremely helpful.

I felt exactly the same way at first w/ the Galileo. Had a really hard time with it until we spent some quality time together. After getting used to the adjustments, I've grown to like it. To remedy the dry hit situation, every few hours I drop a few onto the atty to make sure that it's moist. I also make it a point to tilt the mod horizontally from time to time when I vape to ensure that the juice is hitting - especially if it's sat for a while. Keeping the tank topped off is not a bad idea as well.

On the ju.is, turn the ring in 1/4 turn increments to adjust air flow. For the bottom button I found a hex shaped attachment for my screwdriver (I know nothing of tools but found 1) that turns it perfectly. Mine doesn't feel like it was machined for the hex key that was provided but for this screwdriver attachment. It works well with the washer that I placed under the assembly to improve consistency and works w/ shorter batteries better if you use a magnet battery spacer.

Hope that the vaping gets better for you as you go along as it did for me. I do love it now but it took me a while.

I tried juis from the first release, and i have not the last, with the air control to put on the atomizer.
But i think the concept is really great.
you have to battle a little to master the combo battery/juice/atomizer and the strenght you suck the atom to drive correctly the juice on the atom, but when you get the right feeling, it's a wonderfull vape.
Hot vape, consistent, full aroma taste.
I had the best results with 510 and 306 LR atomizers and NCR panasonic battery, but i think all IMRs would work in a good way.
You have to take off the ring from the juis, install the upper cap on the tank, put the atomizer and close the M3 to firm the atomizer adapter of your choice on the cup, so you are sure of a good electrical contact, then you can put the control ring again and fill of juice the tank.
when you vape, the hole on the side of the tank, must be completely closed with the ring control, it have to be free when you put the upper cup after the refill of the juice, to drive out the air.
On the other circumstances you master the ejuice sucked with the air control on the atom.
i hope it can help

Very well put, Alex! Thanks for the info. I feel the same way- Galileo is tempramental but worth the effort! There is nothing like vaping w/ ju.is for tobacco juices. It's a flavorful, moist vape if that makes any sense.

For unfettered, please do not look at the oxidation on this screwdriver (I'll be replacing as soon as I get to Home Depot) but it works perfectly for the bottom assembly screw.jpg.

I appreciate all your help Huffelpuff....... but since the very center of my button is still a smooth round hole, even after sending it back, that screwdriver won't help me any. Nothing for it to catch on.
I'm glad there are those of you who received a working PV, but the one I have is a very poorly made piece of crap.
A total waste of the good money I paid for it.
When I can get it to fire, it's now just killing attys.

I can't even sell it in good faith. I guess it's just going to go in a drawer and I can look at it now and then.

Sorry, Unfettered. Hoped that you'd have better luck. Before all is lost, have you considered replacing the bottom switch piece? It's not a major thing to replace I'm assuming and it can be screwed/unscrewed with your hands as I've done w/ mine in the past. Galileo offers worldwide warranty - think I wouldn't give up so easily if I were you. Took me like a week to get it going and you will. It's just a rediculous curve to using it. JMHO.

Thanks Huffel....
I've already sent it back, got the same button I started out with, with a new spring.
I'm seriously considering cleaning it up from my last juice fill and listing it for sale.
It's just too fiddly for me.

Off to get my post count up so I can list in the classies......

Just an update on unfettered's Galileo #205... I have it now, and after two full days of tinkering with it trying to figure out the correct adjustments and settings its vaping pretty darned good!

I popped an HH357 1.5 ohm in there and put an AW 18650 battery in it and it does a really nice job with that combo. It actually works really well with an 801LR as well.

In unfettered's frustration she referred to it as a pile of crap...and I can understand that being hazed by an inanimate object can test the patience of even the most even-handed person, this PV is far from crap.

The machining is really well done, the threads are exceptional and the configurability is very well conceived.

It can make you crazy trying to unlock the code as to how the air and juice adjustments interact, but once I developed the feel for it, it's quite alright!

I certainly would have no problem suggesting this to a person looking for a versatile and reconfigurable PV.

Hey Zen, so you have now a Galileo? :)

The Galileo was my first mod, so it is a very special device to me, I didn't buy the Ju.IC because I'm on the rebuildable atomizers side.

I use my Galileo often, sometimes I make some changes to it (add a nut or an O-Ring on the buttom assembly, modded the 510 adapter and the center pin) and sometimes I revert it as it originally came.

Soon I will have a Zenesis Mini :D

Hi Zen, glad to see you're enjoying the Galileo! I'm surprised that they aren't more popular. It's funny now that I've had mine a month or two I can throw it together in a second. Using the magnets on the bottom interior button really works for me to get it to fire perfect every time.

Congrats on the Zen Ariel!! I have to get my hands on one of those eventually. It's on my hit list.

how does the ju.is system work exactly?

I think it works similar to the GG UFS, it is a tank with a 510 atomizer (or maybe another atomizer type, since it comes with multiple adapters) inside it and a juice feeding control, the juice flow is through the attomizer center hole or atomizer connector side holes. But it is only my guess, I do not own a Ju.Is :(

how does the ju.is system work exactly?

There is a juice tank below the atomizer and when you draw on the atty, it pulls juice up into the atomizer. The control of Juice flow is a combination of a control ring that lets air into the lower tank, allowing the juice to flow, and then there is an air chamber where the draw can be adjusted... when the two are setup properly it works remarkably well.

There is a learning curve that can be shortened by a systematic approach...

Start with the flow for juice nearly closed, and the air flow wide open... in small increments close the air flow until the draw feels "good" for you... if it is pulling up juice you are all set... if not, the next step is to slowly open the juice feed... and I DO MEAN SLOWLY... tiny changes can make a huge difference, so have a little patience and make sure you don't jump the gun by opening the juice feed any more until you're certain it's not enough juice flowing... when gettong started, a dry or harsh hit is NOT an indicator that after two more draws it won't be perfect.

All that being said, once you have a feel for the adjustments, it becomes very easy to repeat the process.

As it says on the website, this IS an advanced user device. In the right hands it works exceptionally well.
