Here I go again creeping on all the classifieds looking for the little chunks of gold known as GG. It is unbelievable to me how fast this stuff moves. I mean it pretty much goes as fast as it is listed. What is all the hype??? Is it the build quality? Is it the vapor production? Or is it just out right dang collectible. I guess since it is a one man operation the numbers are lower than if it was manufactured in mass. I have been looking for all the cool attachments that go with this monster and I really don't even have a clue as to how they function!!! I guess I have been bitten with the GG bug along with several other folks. Can anybody tell me what is a good attachment?? I'm talking about the I-atty, AVS, UFS, AFS. What is the one everybody wants for function rather than collectibility???? Please someone give me some good info so I can get some sleep!!! Adios

The GG's appeal may have first started in the fact that it is all mechanical, user maintainable, and it is shiny, very shiny. Also, there are limited amounts of each release made as Imeo is always making something new and better. So, they are collectible. There are enough out there that once you get the GG bug, you could collect many of them, but be forewarned, they are not cheap.

As far as user maintainable, I hope that you have some mechanical understanding of the universe. They are simple, yet complicated. O-rings are the first issue of order, there are pdf's on where they go when you need to replace them, but, er, some of us don't even understand pictures and need help.  But help is always at hand here! Also, parts. If in the U.S., Clouds of Vapor is the only supplier, so when he is out, he is out until Imeo has more made and sent from Greece. Watch pre-order threads for new items and get on the list fast if you want the new item.

Believe me when I tell you, once you have one you will have the GG bug. These things are beautiful, function incredibly well, and feed the need for new knowledge all at the same time. Just go on down to the GG subforum, read a while, watch some videos, you will be able to choose from there.

Did I mention you will love a GG if you get one? Did I mention your GG will outlive you?

I haven't even heard about this GG thing until you made a thread about it. You're the one hyping it up, bro.::)

The top 25 e-cigs are still the slim types. Look.

Anywho, I've upgraded to an Ego 650mah. It's still small and with a Boge 2ohm carto, it's not much bigger than a slim cig. With about 4-6x longer when it comes to battery life.

I'll never feel good buying these expensive devices which I know are as extremely simple as a flashlight.

I'd rather buy a second netbook or a tablet e-reader.

Fixed that for you.

Also when talking GG its no longer about Price/Need. Id liken it to buying a Television, the ones at wallmart work just as well as a five grand plasma from pioneer as far as getting a signal, and displaying it. You would probably enjoy the Pioneer more, Need it? no way in hell.

Also take some time to look over the GGTS specs and what it can do, saying its a flashlight mod is grossly misrepresenting facts, and we know a lot about that here.

Gimme a min here to find some copypasta and a link.

Things the GG has done

Taken From Here

I understand why the price is off putting, and if you have something you like that works for you, No need for GG.

But to say its simple like a flashlight is just absurd, to make something like that, and id go so far as to say anyone with access to the proper tools could replicate it to some extent, Wouldn't be a cost savings if your value your own time.

Simple maths here.

Time to design and figure out solutions for features = 40 hours ( gross underestimate but it works and you'll see why )
Time to Build it = 8 Hours, Gross underestimate again, that's assuming you get it right the first time.

Minimum wage = 7.25 USD (or thereabouts)

48x7.25 = 348 USD

So to end my long post, the prices are incredible considering its made by one man, works so well. and is beautiful.

Id wager that the markup after Materials and labor is minimal, Imeo isnt trying to get rich. The markups in eGos are sickening by comparison IMO.

Long post, half because i wanted to see if how some of the forum features work. and half because i...

HAVE THE GG BUG!

These don't look simple to me. But then that's only my opinion.

Well, when looking at that list you have to consider that it's based on number of positive user reviews and since those slim e-cigs are mass produced there are a LOT more of each one of those out in the world than there are GGs, so naturally there are a lot more user reviews ;-)
