I have two kids and always make it a point that when we see any Armed Srvcs people, Fire/Rescue/EMS and yes even the PoPo to go up to them and say thank you.
These people lay it on the line for us and deserve a thank you.

The other week I was at a wings place getting ready to watch the UFC fight, and saw a man with a shirt on that said something to the effect of his son serves in Iraq, I went up to him and said,
"Sir, please tell your son there are many of us who are praying for him and extremely grateful. Thank you and thanks to your son. GOD bless him."
He said " Tell him yourself, he is back and right over there."
I went over and spoke with this guy for a good 5 minutes thanking him as much as possible. What an awesome young man. GOD bless our military, the police, emts, doctors, firefighters, and most of all our country.
