Good Morning Edd :)

Goal for the day:

Elliptical 6 miles
Planks
Lunges

I took the day off yesterday. No weight gain, no weight loss. I did have to tighten my belt by a notch though! :D

New scale just came in this morning. It measures more increments than just a half pound. It's too late to step on it now, I've already had a couple of cups of coffee and I always weigh more after drinking coffee. ;)

What a disciplined group we are! I stopped by the old gym on the way home. I won't give you the rep count & lifts, but it was a solid, productive workout. Now, I'm going to eat some celery with blue cheese while I make roast carrots and grilled chicken...just like Sunny...except broccoli. Never broccoli!!!

Robin, you see why the scale only tells a part of the story? You are building muscle. Bravo!

Luv ya Edd :D Good job on your workout :)

Did 3 miles this morning before going to Hubby's doctor appointment. Just finished 3 more miles.
Breakfast was a slice of rye toast with a thin layer of peanut butter
Lunch was a half sandwich: rye pumpernickel swirl, two thin slices ham, one slice swiss cheese, bit of miracle whip and romaine lettuce
Dinner: Romaine lettuce, misc fruits and about 6 croutons. No dressing, no cheese

I think I will have a half sandwich ... I'm starving and I ran out of nuts

Sounds like you've earned it. I tell ya, getting used to this kinda food is pretty easy after a while.

Don't forget that you burn calories all day long... heart beating, breathing, moving about, sleeping, thinking. You need at least 1000-1200 per day girl. I've read that the whole 'starvation mode' is BS, but for me I lost more when I kept my calories up near my limit. I used my fitness pal. There's an app for it, and you can use it online also. I also felt like crap when I went too low on calories.

I did 5 k today in the PISSING rain but it felt awesome anyways. I had an executive meeting tonight that I had to run to right after work so I didn't get a chance to have dinner before I left. I blew it all to HELL when I got there and someone had those 'cow' candies that are chocolate covered toffee and I had about 20

Did my 4 miles on the elliptical again last night, raised the incline to the second level (mine only has 3). Made it all the way through at 150 strides/min! 2 sets of 10 ball crunches, 2 30 second planks. Runner's knee is kicking in, had 4 ibuprofen at bedtime and it's more tolerable this morning. Why I only slept 4 hours is beyond me tho, going to be a long day.

150!! Omygosh! I am happy when I can do 60 rpm pretty consistently for a mile. 50rpm is now feeling comfortable and normal. I started at barely hitting 4 LOL. Don't kill your knee! Can you wrap it to give it more stability when you run?

137.6 weight

Goal: 6 miles, planks and lunges. I didn't do any planks or lunges yesterday. Need to get them in today.

Spaghetti for dinner tonight at the MIL and she has company for 4 days. The next few days are going to be challenging.

ETA: 4 miles done. 2 planks holding for 20 seconds each.
ETA: 2 more miles
Over did the spaghetti but not by much. ;)

I think your rpm is equal to 2 of my strides per min. So you are doing 100-120 strides per min.
Don't you love to watch her start to take pride in what she's DOING, rather than what the stupid scale tells her...

Getting stronger ensures the end result. Always.
